    Suggestions for Rem 700 30-06?

If you decide to spend money on rings there is no need to lap. This is debatable of course but matched rings will be true, some people will still lap for insurance and piece of mind. Good luck with your project!

    Suggestions for Rem 700 30-06?

I would start with good glass and good base/rings. If your scope isn't rock solid nothing else matters. Just like everything else that has been said bed and float for sure and find a load that will shoot good out of your gun after that. I bought a barrel from Bryce Canyon who has already chimed in on this and have been building this rifle for over a year and about 2500 to 3 grand deep but that's because I am setting it up exactly how I want it. You can get your 30-06 shooting good without spending to much. If it was me I would start with scope, rings, and base though.

    thinking about calls

Ya those elk learned what the hoochie mama was years ago. Would have better luck hollering asking the bull politely to walk within range for a shot.
  7. I was just thinking the same thing. Curious to see how many people went to any of these meanings. Before everyone jumps on me, I didn't go and I'm fine with the price increase.

    Spotting scope?

I've had the worse experiences with Nikon that I will never give them another cent. Their warranty sucks and it's like pulling teeth dealing with them. My dad bought a range finder used it two times in a year then sat in the closet. Few days after the warranty expires they say it will cost 50 dollars more to fix than the original purchase price. Same thing happened with the wife's camera, yes I bought a Nikon when I said I wouldn't. Used one time lost charger. Bought new charger and screen does not turn on. Took it back and they said basically screw us. Might just be bad luck for me I don't know. I have had cheap scopes and finally bought the viper hd and like it, nothing like the high dollar ones out there but for 900 it's more than worth it to me. Check out all the reviews you can find and look into company warranties to! I'm bashing Nikon because of my experience but there are people that love their products for sure.

    advise

If you are hunting an area next to a road or well traveled by people hit the mouth call and sound like something they probably haven't heard the day before. I have had luck with electronic calls in areas less traveled by people and mouth calls work best for me over all. If I'm out to call predators exclusively I kind of do it like I'm deer hunting. I get to a good glassing point around a water source then usually climb down 100 yards so I'm not skyline and call for a good 30 minutes. Like fulch said keep calling if you shoot one or even miss cause they will keep coming. A 3d or leafy suit will help a lot to.

    7mm RUM loads

This gun is just about done. Rem 700, sendero barrel. Was going to start with 160 grain accubonds, IMR 7828 ssc 85 grains. I always hear this caliber, and barrel especially, are all about heavier bullets but haven't talked to anyone personally that have shot lighter bullets. So any input about your experiences would be appreciated.

16-48x65 razor HD spotting scope for sale

If I didn't buy the viper for the same price last year I would have jumped on this! Shouldn't last long.

    Binocular Choice

All I have been buying lately has been vortex. Their warranty is best in the biz from what I hear over and over again but have yet to send anything back to them so don't know personally. I have had to call about a few issues and the customer service is great compared to Nikon and bushnell for sure. As far as zeiss goes awesome scopes and binos but I've never bought anything from them. Vortex has been an up and rising company these last 5 years, they made a name for themselves and prices are starting to show it too.

New outdoor outfitting store in Queen Creek area?

Ya they have been open for a while and nobody is ever in there. They need to advertise. Tons of stuff. Mostly see people buying feed for there animals over anything else. Lots of stuff in that store.

    $54

No game and fish equals no animals. You wouldn't be able to hunt anymore. You and then the next guy might be honest sportsman but the fact is plenty are not. As the price of everything in life goes up why wouldn't app fees go up to? If that's the case why are we still not buying 5 cent cheese burgers at McDonald's? Love them or hate them it can get spendy especially if your one of these dudes that draw elk every year, but the app fees arnt outrageous.

Who's going out for the HAM 2014?

Seems like a lot of 37b people and I am one of them. Will be doing it with stick and string since I got skunked on the 22 archery hunt. Good luck to everyone!

    Tundra leveling kit

I'm not sure. They where on the truck when I bought it from Avondale Toyota. The 2 inches in the front made it pretty level, I went to three in the front and one in the back to still keep it level and fit the 35's. The only thing I'm not sure about, since I didn't do the original install, is if the stock studs on top of the strut are long enough for the spacers or if you might need longer ones. The spacers are only a little over a inch but actually give you 2 inches of lift. The 3 inch spacers I put on where actually 1 3/4 inches but gave the truck 3 inches.

    Tundra leveling kit

2 inch spacers up front. I have all nuts and bolts. I'm selling because I ended up doing the 3/1 lift on my truck to fit 35's. I believe the spacers fit a tundra from 07 -13. Make a offer.
