Left Handed Stainless Tikka T3 Lite 300 WSM
Willyhunts2 replied to outdooraz's topic in Classified Ads
Is this a new thing? PM for price cause I don't get it. -
N2horns and ctafoya are great guys to deal with. Bought a few items from each and they are straight shooters, no BS.
-
I've bought and sold items often but most of the time they are not frequent contributors to the site and mainly on here for the classifieds. How does that factor in haha, just curious.
-
Thanks for all the kind words fellas. Yea I heard they cleaned up on the jr hunt, usually do pretty good anyways. I was hoping to get up there but had a fishing with blind children event that landed on the same weekend. Wish I could be two places at one time for that kind of stuff! There's always next year!

After the rain, snow, and the usual wind, I got it done. Sunday and Monday were the only good days of weather. Sunday morning had a bird answer my calls 2 or three times then went silent. We set up and he ended up coming in but from a different direction. Turned around awkwardly for a shot and missed high. After all the long hikes it happened Monday morning 200 yards from where I parked the truck. First call from the slate of the morning and hens were talking back. They were getting closer so we set up just in case and the first bird to pop out of their single file line was this gobbler. 20 yard shot and he was on the ground. He never gobbled so was surprised to see him. Had a 9 inch beard. Got to love turkey huntin!

Yup people dump boats. We just threw one away last year at a maricopa clean up of a popular shooting spot.
-
Good job and congrats to both of you!

I will take it if it's still available. Sending pm now.

A Couple of New Muzzle Brakes
Willyhunts2 replied to rossislider's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
Lance does breaks really well. He also take his time haha. He has a lot of work and doesn't Rush stuff out of his shop for sure. I used him on a 700 build and could not be happier with the detail and quality. As rossislider said, if you ain't worried about getting it back in the next week or two he is my first choice. -

I will take 2 lbs of the 7828SSC if we can meet up. Will send you pm in a minute. -
+1. Everyone else has good info also but this is what I have seen to a T over the years. I'm not a turkey guru either but could not have wrote that up any better. Good luck on your hunt and post pics. Also keep as many diff types of calls with you as you can, use them all until you get some action. They get smart as the season rolls on.
-
Good luck coach, let us know how you guys do and of course hoping for some pics.

Becareful Willy if you were drawn for the first hunt you must wait until after the second hunt to actually hunt which would be May 8Th when you can hunt again. Actually this is my favorite time to hunt turkey. Yes I know, that's why it kills me to draw the first hunt and not be able to go till the second kicks off! Oh well life happens. I will be there May 8th ready to go.
-
Drew that tag but can't go till second hunt now. Leave some of those long beards for me please!
-
Some of you folks should run for president with all these debating skills! Game and fish isn't going to release draw results cause then they can't read this stuff all day and laugh about it.

If you take a small game management, big game managment, wildlife nutrition, or range management course you will find out the genetics don't mean jack if the right feed and nutrition is not there. Not only that but a mountain of other things that will make good genes not show their true potential with any animal.

25-06 ???? Best all around bullet
Willyhunts2 replied to lionhunter's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
My gun loves them, and the muleys I have shot don't like them very much. I was pig hunting with a buddy that killed one with same round and actually didn't mess it up as bad as I thought it would. -
I had a 700 I took to my smith for some work. He out sources for the extractor, going from 7 mag to 7 RUM. We got it back and the bolt was exposed to what he thought was way more heat then needed. He ordered me a PTG bolt and had kampfeld do the fluting now life is good. PTG does fluting but they are very shallow and don't look as good as the deep flutes Karl does.

Has been a good trailer but she needs to go. Don't have the time to fix it up. Has two broken cables, little dealer wants 75 for each I believe. If those are replaced it is a function trailer again. Lots of little things that broke over the year that I can show in pics. Roof has started to leak. Never leaked on us while raining but you can tell water is getting through. Deffenetly a fixer up for someone that wants to fix and keep, flip, or strip down and make a utility trailer. Canvas, windows, and zippers all work, no holes or leaks. Want $600 for it. Trying CWT first and if no takers she goes to the dreaded craigslist.Text for pics. Thanks -Will 602-312-4679

Man I wish I had 600 bucks. I have the same rifle in 25-06 and love it. Free bump
