Haven’t seen any threads about activity…was in Unit 1 near Greer this weekend. Had one strutting in the road and shock gobbling in the evening. Saw a decent flock of birds off 260 near east edge of WMAT.

I asked it how to pronounce coues...but kooz does not rhyme with moose. Still a mystery... "Coues" is typically pronounced as "kooz" (rhyming with "moose"). It refers to a subspecies of white-tailed deer, the Coues deer, named after the naturalist Elliott Coues.
