I think it was the recurve not the javelina.

My first deer hunt…12-13 yrs old on youth hunt in TN. So excited I probably hadn’t slept for a couple of days. Sitting in my uncle’s huge platform tree stand on a corn field…they called that one the hotel stand and it was big enough for both of us with me on the seat and him sitting on the platform. Probably could have fit another person in the stand with us. A couple does came out at first light, then a buck. My uncle tells me to get ready and I proceed to lose my breakfast off the side of the stand. needless to say the deer were gone. Safety harnesses weren’t widespread then, but every year he threatened to get me one for Christmas. struck out the rest of the weekend, but made up for it shooting my first buck out of the same stand the next year on the same youth hunt.

I’ve been checked a couple times…down south deer hunting and also antelope in 19a and on kaibab. I agree those WMs are spread very thin.

Did you have point guard or maybe not worth it for just one point? I’m saving points for Goulds…I’d be sick if I drew fall tag.
-
About a year from now I’ll be looking for similar for my daughter. Free bump.

Crank it down cold enough and probably indefinitely.

My phone is already covered with whiteout…how will that work with my e-tags? 😂
-
Not same tag. You’d have the draw tag for rifle and then could have a separate OTC tag. Still limit 1 deer per year between the 2 tags. That’s the same scenario for turkey…could have a draw tag and OTC but same limit for the year.

Awesome beer storage plus hang outs.

I noticed that on a couple other units before…then they got updated to the correct date. I’m guessing that’s something automatic that populated the date when the quota was met.

This was my thought. Thanks for confirming it as cheaper. Or watch for sales on the Heritage. I found one on sale for $109 with an additional $20 rebate. $89 not bad for a .22 plinker.

Awesome buck…congrats!

Looking at the “scoreboard” thread it sounds like only spikes are being killed by road hunters. 😁

In 3B this weekend…didn’t see any bulls, but greener than I’ve ever seen and water everywhere. Should be a good year.
-
I’ve been wondering the same. Especially the southern units.
-
Of course we’ve all heard of this. The same guys doing that just won’t use the e-tag the same way they don’t use the paper otc tag.
-
This was my point exactly. The e-tag won’t stop this behavior…
-
I don’t understand this logic…can you explain?
-
I’m not sure I see the benefit…in some other states with more than 1 deer limit you can check in online and keep hunting. I suppose there could be a lot of cost savings on printing and mailing tags but also possible lost revenue from all those ads on the tags.

Duct tape and sharpie tags for all!
-
Found mine…haven’t made my soup just yet. The printed OTC tags from AZGFD have an issue date and a “valid through 12/31” date. The Wally World handwritten carbon copy tags just have the issue date and they’re marked with the year for the tag.

Too bad it’s not clearly spelled out in the regs. LoL
