Not sure if this is the right place or not...found this AZSFW discussion while researching tripods. http://forums.coueswhitetail.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=32028&st=0 My question is whether this is the same group as the AZ Sportsmen for Wildlife Conservation who benefit from the wildlife license plate sales...time to renew my truck plates and considering the wildlife plate. Just wondering... Thanks!

Good read...I wish Az elk tags were that cheap! -
Had not heard of these until my friend Nathan at Hedog Archery told me about them. He posted a review on his blog here http://hedogarchery.com/not-just-another-broadhead Not cheap at about $25 each, but interesting so thought I'd share. http://solid-broadheads.com/

Pretty good discussion here http://forums.coueswhitetail.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=32051 By my understanding it's based on the # of archery kills as a percentage of the total.

I think I've seen same truck exiting I-10 at Valencia...

agree...depends on height or angle of the camera. I had one out and had a bunch of "empty" photos that I thought were due to branches. Then looking very closely I noticed the backs of javelinas at the very bottom of the frame. Surely they weren't moving through that quickly that you missed them...

I have Vortex Diamondback 10x42 around my neck and Viper 15x50 in the pack. I've been really happy with the Diamondbacks. Good glass for not much $$.

Found this thread helpful as I'm looking at options for a new tripod. The AZSFW part caught my eye too. Since thread is already hijacked I'll ask...is this the same group as AZ Sportsmen for Wildlife Conservation (the group that benefits from the wildlife license plates...)? About to renew my truck plate and was going to change to the wildlife plate...if same group I might reconsider.

PM me...depending on what part of town, I know a few spots. Mostly water tanks that are pretty common knowledge and far from honey holes but a couple other areas near ag fields that can be really good shooting.

Apparently the buy one get one offer has started again...on the swhacker website.

I like th Nosler Trophy pushing 130gr Accubond.

I bet your MIL doesn't shoot a 60 lb bow either!

Haven't used shooter due to the cost. I have Winchester Ballistics (free) on iPhone and it's pretty good. Used to be pretty limited to only Winchester ammo, but that seems to have improved. Looks like Nosler has a free one too but haven't tried it.

Sighting my Bow for G5 Montecs of Mechanicals?
bigorange replied to rossislider's topic in Bowhunting for Coues Deer
Swhacker just posted their buy one get one free offer again...no personal experience with blinds but they claim to shoot thru mesh without opening. I've had similar issues with fixed blades and switched to mechanicals. -
Now that's some Cash we could all use...

Are there particular units or areas that are more susceptible to theft? Obviously high-traffic areas and waterholes, but besides that? Thinking specifically of Unit 27...heading up to scout in a couple weeks and putting out at least one camera. Just wondering if that's a common unit for thefts. Thanks!

Anyone else heading to the AZ Elk Society Elk Clinic this Saturday? I'll be there along with my hunting partner...we drew early archery cow this year. Looking forward to learning some new pointers and techniques...should work well to really get the itch going. And of course a side trip to Cabela's afterward. Bradley
