    No Weapons Allowed

+1 If you weren't sick when you got there you'll probably get sick before you leave. Get out as soon as you can!

    No Weapons Allowed

Typical web filtering based on keywords. I worked at a hospital and we used to have some legitimate medical sites blocked as "porn"...it wasn't too difficult to get them unblocked with appropriate justification, but it did get annoying.

Nice looking designs. Compass ring would make a nice neckerchief slide for Boy Scouts too.

    WHO'S READY FOR BOWFISHING SEASON?!

Any of you Tucson or southern AZ guys willing to introduce a couple of newbies to bowfishing? I've always wanted to try it, but never really knew how to get started.

    Draw Odds Calculator

Yes. $7.50 per person immediately, then the rest $114 per person if you draw...that's on credit card applying online. Paper application you pay all $121.50 per person up front and then get a refund $114 per person if you don't draw...

    Great gun show

My hope is that the county will hold out...then the fairgrounds gun shows will be bigger and better...and there's always the private venues like the RV dealers and casinos ...

    Great gun show

Yeah...especially Special K. I used to really like him and was glad to see him get elected due to common sense, then he did a complete 180 even before he decided to switch parties. Incidentally, I think if you're elected under one party and then switch parties you should forfeit the elected position. Sorry to sidetrack the thread...

    Questioning the afterlife

Great idea...obviously depending on location for lots of us here. As far as a Bible goes, there are a lot of choices...this one was written by a high school friend of mine who has created a ministry around hunting with books, DVDs, and lots more. Highly recommend it...lots of nice devotionals with an outdoors/hunting slant to them. http://www.amazon.com/NIV-Outdoorsman-Bible-Jason-Cruise/dp/0310441692/ Updated 2/6...forgot about this book, also by Jason Cruise. The Heart of the Sportsman. I've read it several times and this thread got me thinking about it and will be reading it again very soon. http://www.amazon.com/The-Heart-Sportsman-Strategies-Thoughts/dp/0805430946 Jason's ministry site.. http://www.outdoorministrynetwork.com/ Surrounding yourself with like-minded folks for accountability and motivation is a great idea. Thanks for posting the thread..lots of great comments here.

    In a slump...

Well if you count a few years I took off hunting due to college and work, I'm looking at about 19 year slump. Just started back hunting seriously 3 or 4 yrs ago though. Still looking for first blood since starting back. I agree with the recommendation of trying somewhere else as a sort of batting cage approach I you can afford it or have access. Considering a roadtrip this Fall to hunt my uncle's farm back east if elk and antelope fall through.
