Haven't seen that specific one before, but have seen pics of piebald deer over the years. One of my friends from high school killed one in TN a year or two ago. Anyone on here ever seen or heard of a piebald coues? Pretty cool...thanks for sharing.

That's a pretty awesome list right there...very handy.

A friend asked me about this and I couldn't find much recent information on Google. Are there any local summer biathlons (cross-country running and shooting)? And of course here they could be year-round and not necessarily "summer"... I found some old threads on a shooting forum that sounded like there may have been at least one in the Phoenix Area in the past. Everything else seemed to be in other states. Thanks!

Applying for the upcoming javelina draw- any downside being under the old license regime?
bigorange replied to AndrewJ's topic in Javelina
Agree...I read it as buying the new license at the current rate. After Jan 1, same license at the new 2014 rate. At least that will be my excuse next year for not having an Urban license. -
Nice bull and awesome job getting it done solo! YouTube says the video is private...

Nice video...especially nice seeing your boy out there with you. Awesome memories I'm sure.

I've got a fever and there's only one cure...more cowbell baby! My kid has the same fever...he's been talking about a cowbell for months. If you were closer to Tucson I might take you up on that...local shop has a couple used cowbells cheap enough it wouldn't be worth the drive. I know what you mean on the pedal...it will probably help you with the sale on CL as well as keeping the cymbals with it too. I knew it was a stretch but thought I'd ask.

I have "that kid"...but already have a basic 5-piece kit that's serving the purpose well. Are you willling to break anything out? Specifically the cowbell, double bass pedal (could throw in my single bass pedal if you only have the double), and maybe one of the cymbals with stand. where are you located?

	Good decision...and good luck!

http://www.azcentral.com/news/arizona/articles/20130915flooding-near-clifton-forces-evacuations.html?nclick_check=1 Looks like they had to close the flood gate today...crazy. We talked about that on the way to 27 for elk last year...wondered how often the flood gate has to be closed. Sounds like it is receding...hopefully no more rains upstream.

				Let's hear your "Zombie-dove" stories
bigorange replied to Scooter's topic in Small Game, Upland Bird, and Waterfowl Hunting
Still remember the first one and most memorable...3 of us had been out for a few hours and limited out. Back at the truck comparing birds and one guy pulls out a bird that's just calmly sitting in his hand looking around. We started calling him the magician after that. Yeah I'm not sure how i feel about the whole zombie thing either...all marketing of course. -
Where are you located? I keep thinking about this...would be good set of "extras" to outfit our travel trailer...hmmmm...

My buddy was loading stuff in the truck in the dark and hit an exposed broadhead. Needless to say it ended his hunt pretty quickly and won't be able to shoot for a while. Luckily no tendon or nerve damage and he drew a late archery bull tag so still has some recovery time...be careful out there!

CONGRATS! This is killing me...gonna be a really long day at work today.
 -
Good stuff right there...nice drop tine on that bull too!

Thunderheads with new blades. He was hunting on OTC deer tag, so luckily not out of a major hunt. Should be good to go for late archery elk... -

That's a really cool find...pics worth the wait! -
+1 on smoke in a bottle. I've tried a couple others and this one is easier to see and less mess and clumping. Seems to float better...

Epperson's Africa Plains game Hunt with GreaterKuduLandSafaris
bigorange replied to GRONG's topic in Hunting in Africa
Glad you're out of the hospital and hopefully feeling better. Bummer to miss archery elk with your buddy, but yeah that would have sucked to get sick like that in Africa. Burst appendix is no joke! -

Hunting small game while a big hunt is in progress?
bigorange replied to down2hunt's topic in The Campfire
+1 I hate it when I'm drawing a bead on a big bushytail squirrel and some other hunter tries to call a big bull right past me. -
Wasn't there a post on here last season of a hunter who had gashed his forehead loading one in the truck and needed stitches? Seems like it was his own post on here.

Things your huntin buddies do that drive you nuts : )
bigorange replied to twigsnapper's topic in The Campfire
Feeling the need to fill silence with conversation....especially when there's nothing worth saying. Sometimes I'm not thinking anything worth talking about so don't ask...I might just be sucking wind from the hill we just climbed! Or sometimes I'm sleeping behind my binos so don't wake me up. -
	Man that's awesome...huge CONGRATS!

You don't see this very often... Banded Dove
bigorange replied to Avid Hunter's topic in Small Game, Upland Bird, and Waterfowl Hunting
My friend's brother shot one opening weekend near Blythe. These are the first 2 banded doves I've heard of...pretty cool.
