Yeah I had this happen during my turkey hunt. Luckily I noticed and knew where the truck was at the time or it could have been rough.

I think it depends on the attitude of whoever checks you...and whether you're actively hunting. And BTW at least around Tucson they've started enforcing the no target shooting rule on state trust land more than before.

AZGFD announced yesterday that Prescott and Tonto starting Stage II fire restrictions on Friday. Unfortunately I'm sure there will be lots of folks ignoring the restriction or who aren't aware.

I had that tag a couple years ago...tough hunt. Scout a lot, but be prepared because the cows disappear too once the hunt starts. We chased bugles hoping to find bulls with cows with limited success. Other hunters are generally very helpful when they find out you have a cow tag though...we got lots of good tips on areas where the cows had moved. And of course every bull hunter was covers up with cows blowing their stalks...

Who out here uses the heater? I don't think I used mine at all last season. My old Ford blind had heated leather seats...I sort of miss those seats even when it's not really cold.

+1 don't get rid of the 10s. I mostly bowhunt too and I have 10s around my neck to use while hiking and for stalks and 15s on the tripod. Especially if you will ever hunt timber you'll want the 10s or even 8s. Tried using 15s on archery elk hunt and they were pretty useless. Sometimes glassing in the desert I use the 10s to get a different look and FOV than the 15s. I use them both a lot.

Thanks I was misinterpreting this to mean the NF was being closed along the Black. I selfishly hope the closure is delayed until after the holiday weekend...have campground reservations and fishing plans!

Yeah I'm more worried about the weirdos sitting in cars outside the schools watching kids walk home than I am hunting down south.

Half squat worked pretty well...along with a modified whomping willow. RV Park in Alpine just past the auto shop was great...dumped the tanks for $10 and on my way home. Too bad the turkeys didn't cooperate, but that's another story. Thanks!
