It's a fake...but still funny.

Posting from my phone. Not sure the link will work. http://m.tucsonweekly.com/TheRange/archives/2014/07/28/george-takei-shares-fake-tucson-streetcar-clitt-headline-city-unfazed

I saw what appeared to be a doctored copy on FB...was that actually the printed version too? Couldn't get to an electronic copy to verify...
-
I'm with TJ...both meet my criteria of "any antlered deer"

Maybe 15 min of rain here in east Tucson, but not much. Was hoping for a good rain to drown the fire on the Rincons but still a lot of smoke this morning...
-
That's exactly what I've done too. Doesn't seem to dull the chisel blade on the outside either, so you can take the tape off and use for hunting. Inner blade still razor sharp.
-
Not that I see listed...that would be a huge surprise. 35B is a pretty good whitetail unit like the other border units.
-
I'd be after Sonoran moose in 46F if I were you. Once in a lifetime hunt there.
-
Had that tag last year. Tough hunt. Good luck.
-
What if you donate to one of the charities? Can you then pick up a leftover? I assume the answer would be yes...just not sure.
-
Leftover tags are for whatever is on the leftover list. Sorry I can't post a link for some reason, but this year the leftover deer are all General, Muzzleloader, and Youth Muzzleloader hunts. Yes you can get an OTC archery tag and any draw tag in the same year. (I always buy OTC archery tag in January...if I don't tag out in Jan then I put in for draw tag too.) The key thing is you can only kill one deer per year. So if you tag out during archery in August, then any draw tag is no longer legal. Or if you tag out on a draw tag, then your OTC archery tag isn't legal the rest of the year.
-
one app per species (so one app for deer and pick multiple hunts) like the regular draw, but I don't think there were any leftover archery hunts. The OTC archery tag you just go and buy just like a license. No application. Lots of folks buy one in January and it's good all year for Jan, Aug, and Dec archery seasons.
-
yep...they hook you for the app fee on the main draw and the leftovers. I guess it makes sense though...2 different applications being processed. They changed to a chart in the regs (p. 42) this year showing the units that are open for OTC archery and when. Used to be more confusing to keep straight since not all units are open for August and December seasons.

I have the Viper HD 10x42 and love them. My buddy has the non-HD Viper 10x50 and he loves his. Good glass. 10x50 probably a little better in low light and don't seem to be significantly heavier or bulkier.
-
One app, but can use more than one check/mo. Yep you have to pay the app fee again for leftovers.

Speedy is speedy and beat me to posting the link. Looks like still last year's list, but that's the same link I have bookmarked...same link every year.

Great demonstration of human nature here. And we've all been conditioned to expect the results in a certain time period. One thing is certain...they'll probably make the deadlines posted in the regs. And if they charged up-front we'd all still be here wondering when results would post, but none of us would already know we drew something! Fun times on this thread for sure. Keep it up!

I think it depends on location and the cabling in your neighborhood. CenturyLink used to be really slow in our neighborhood due to distance from nearest station (I don't know of that's the correct term) They made some changes including fiber optics in the neighborhood and tremendously improved. I switched after several neighbors reported faster speed. No complaints here.

Funny nobody has pointed out that it should be panties and not panty's. Gotta love grammar on the interwebs!

bigorange replied to hoghntr's topic in The Campfire
I bet you could put together a nice group of extra hunters on here at $299 a piece and take care of a lot of hogs... -

I've looked over that site before and wondered the same myself. Never researched them though. -
True dat. Elk results just make me sad. Looking for some good news.
-
Nah...there will be at least 3 others started in other locations. And a couple asking how to check results.

I'm no expert on 5th wheel conversions to gooseneck, but on one of the rv forums I saw a discussion that gooseneck puts different strain on the frame of the trailer than 5th wheel so some trailers shouldn't be converted. I'd expect a toy hauler to have a stronger frame than a regular 5th wheel trailer, but just something to keep in mind.
