Spot on. Plus being able to reserve and knowing exactly where you'll be is nice with kids. Not technically northern AZ, but some places in white mtns, rim, and Flag area that we've taken our trailer with the kids and enjoyed...Winn Campground (no fishing right there but Big Lake and several others close and not as crowded as Big Lake...no hookups or dump station though), Black Canyon Lake (no reservations or hookups but can dump for free in Payson), Woods Canyon Lake (several in that area that fill up fast and limited reservations), Fool Hollow Lake (full hookups including sewer at each site and a nice lake...one of our favorites), Fort Tuthill outside Flag (Air Force campground there if you have access, or the county campground there is nice too...next to Flagstaff Extreme ropes course which our kids love) Dead Horse Ranch in Cottonwood is a nice campground too with decent fishing.

No you have a lot more points than I do. Mine shows both draw data (all my old tags up to spring 2015 and a bunch of "not drawn") plus bonus points below that. My buddy talked to AZGFD because his wasn't linking and was told the same about them still migrating. He was also told he could link his kids' profile to his as a family profile by calling them. I'm not going to try that with my kids until he figures it out first. LoL

My account is all linked and shows tags through Spring and current license info. Have a credit card charge but no tag online yet. Seems like some are there and some aren't yet...nice.

Friend told me his cabela's visa is always slow to post charges, but can tell by available credit and this year called to confirm that there was an AZGFD charge.

Yep...they've been releasing bighorn again over the past couple years. Not sure where the good spots to glass for those would be though. I think they were seeing them behind Catalina SP.

Sort of trivial, but I also have a reason for asking. What are the statistically "impossible" hunts to draw for both elk and antelope with 1 hunter ed BP? My reason for asking is that my son doesn't want to hunt this year, but I want to buy him a bonus point. He turns 10 in June...so can't just buy a bonus point (have to be 10) but he can apply for a hunt since he'll turn 10 before the hunt. I've seen folks talk about which hunts get filled in the bonus pass, but is this information available anywhere? I haven't seen it on the AZGFD site, but not the first time I've been looking in the wrong place. Thanks!

Thanks for all of the responses and PMs. Have my ideas now of which hunts would be the lowest likelihood of drawing, BUT one viewpoint I hadn't thought about was pointed out to me by a great guy on here who has been very helpful to me in the past. On the slim chance my son did draw the <1% odds early rifle tag, I'd hate to be the guy who's been putting in for years and gets bumped. I may have to re-think this and just wait another year. I know it won't be a big deal to my son either way, and that's what is most important to me. I don't think he'd want a bonus point if he knows that it means someone else missed out.

North end of the monument...Douglas Spring Trail at the end of Speedway. Last time we hiked there I saw a guy in camo with tripod/binos coming out. He said he glasses there all the time since no risk of bothering hunters. He said he sees a lot of deer and has seen lions too.

I know it's hard to imagine, but I think the reality of being able to hunt big game hit him and scared him. He loves shooting and going out hunting with me, so I don't want to pressure him or make him hunt with his own tag until he's ready. Planning on getting him a deer tag this fall and taking him to one of the youth camps so he can see other kids hunting too. I'm sure this will pass eventually, but I don't want to ruin hunting for him by forcing him but also want to get bonus points in the meantime. I was thinking any early rifle hunt would do the trick too...

I think the online app only populates your address if you buy license online...not sure, but my observation from entering apps for our group. Is it also true that the lifetime license counts as a resident license even if you move out of state?

Keep at it man. I'm in the same boat...have had several great stalks where things haven't played out just right. It will happen.
