Awesome shadow pic. Nice find.

I remember that as well...it's been a while but I think peeling it and regluing it is what fixed mine.

Of Mice and Men don't fit with MM and Slipknot...weird combo.

Seems like a first-come, first-serve situation. If TJ is already there and the person comes in they should back out and leave the spot to TJ...and vice versa.

Yeah I remember that happening...he talked about leaving them but not sure. I miss that old dude. -
Didn't take any pics of my 9mm and .45 groups this weekend...not very tight but all center mass. Range therapy is good for the soul.

what are we arguing about then? He killed a legal ram right? Are you saying they timed the release with the intention of jimmy John buying the tag and killing it, Or with the intention that the guy selling the tag would get rich, or both? How did it find the ewes and Rams it was running with overnight? All the usual jibber jabber when a rich guy kills a big animal...he paid a bunch of money and filled his tag his way. Obviously not the same way a lot of us hunt, but still a beautiful animal.

Nice catch for a blockhead.

Yeah I cashed in on that too a couple years ago...had been wanting to try the Barnes TTSX and ended up really liking them. Good luck on the hunt! That should be an awesome trip.

This. I'd rather get what I can afford now and use it for a couple years while I save up for the upgrade.
-
All good points. I have the non-HD viper 15s now as a backup/loaner pair to Kaibabs. I used them for several years before upgrading. There is a noticeable difference in the 50 and 56 objective, but they still worked great. I didn't have great success without a tripod, but one of my buddies has used them on a shooting stick without issues. They're a lot better than the 8s you have for distance and a good step up until you can upgrade. I used the 15s on tripod and diamondback 10s around my neck for several years.

Running boards, mud flaps and mud!!

Mud flaps keep my steps clean...they were really bad before I got the flaps. -
How'd you feel if during HS, when you played ball, the opposing team had a bunch of pros. You'd get your arse handed to you. Same principle. Not same principle...Olympics are about the best in the world. Pro or not. Being a pro doesn't give them any more talent and a lot of those athletes are training full time anyway...like a pro without the salary. I like it when "our" pros are competing for other countries...makes for some good competition.

Like anything else involving ethics...you can never go wrong doing the right thing. Even if you don't agree with the rules. I'd bet the majority of folks you've seen don't know or don't care there's a TMP.

Hedog Archery cam protector...never knew how much I needed one until I got it. Now I'll never have a bow without one. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B009DV7PNM/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1470633872&sr=8-1&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_QL65&keywords=hedog+cam+protector -

This...there's a pic of that alien on here somewhere. Right before the camera got destroyed. 😳 -

Or switch out your turkey choke for improved cylinder...my buddy did that one year and was shooting clouds of feathers. -
Which factory ammo to extend range/accuracy of my .270?
bigorange replied to Viper's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
Killed a coues-size mulie at 250 yds with Barnes TTSX. Big hole through the opposite lung and big exit channel, so not a pencil hole. Not sure what it would do at longer distances but I think a shoulder shot would have been better than vitals. High shoulder was recommended on another thread. -
+1 the YOU hunter ed camp is awesome.

Which factory ammo to extend range/accuracy of my .270?
bigorange replied to Viper's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
I started with the Nosler Trophy Grade 130gr Accubond. Never got very consistent groups with them. Switched to Barnes 130gr TTSX and have had much better groups at 200 and ringing the gong at 300 and 400. (Not sure how it groups at that range...only hitting fixed gongs at the range) If you're in Tucson anytime soon I have a partial box of the Noslers you can try. -
That's very cool. Thanks for sharing and good luck on the hunt. Let us know how it turns out.

I bet the ladies like it though...
