bigorange replied to muledeerarea33?'s topic in The Campfire
Sounds like CWT is the group you need to make this happen. I'm in if you end up hunting in the Tucson area. -
Awesome...congrats!

Replica Sheep Horns for Hunt for Heroes Tag Donor - Passing the Hat
bigorange replied to Heat's topic in Bighorn Sheep Hunting
A happy outcome for everyone.... The original tag holder was recently able to get his mother out of the hospital. She is in a nursing home because she still needs frequent medical attention but that beats being in the hospital on your death bed. Geez.....meaning everything could have been much worse but wasn't. Not saying everything was the best ever. So many warriors on here lately. "glad things are getting better". I read it differently...I did read the mother getting out of the hospital as a happy outcome for the original tagholder too. Maybe I'm overly optimistic, but I hope that's what was meant. -

bigorange replied to n2horns's topic in The Campfire
Nevermind I just looked it up on Amazon. Doesn't weigh in pounds (will weigh in ounces though) and has 2kg max. Smart Weigh Digital Pro Pocket Scale with Back-Lit LCD Display, Silver https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00IZ1YHZK/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_SL6CybEHT5FAP -
Scale for food, weighing backpacking items etc..
bigorange replied to n2horns's topic in The Campfire
I need to look at mine...I think it's a postal scale I found on amazon. I bought it for weighing arrows and braoadheads in grains, but it will also weigh several pound items and in between. -
This exactly. Same boat with my son a couple years ago...and repeating with my daughter this year.
-
Awesome buck. Congrats and feel free to leave the rest of the desert mulies to those of us on the dark side.

This. Either of those arrows will be fine on an animal.

A couple years ago I kept a nutrition log as part of a fitness challenge. Found that I was getting something like 200 empty calories a day from coffee creamer. Black with a little sweetener (actually local honey is my current favorite) ever since.

Anybody here an Exterminator? Or know of a good one to use?
bigorange replied to PelaPapas's topic in The Campfire
I've been using Arizona Pest Control in Tucson for years. They did a really thorough termite inspection/treatment for me and periodic general treatments. I'll PM my contact there that took care of everything for me. -
Not sure why those aren't selling...seem to see as many javelinas in 36c as I do the other 36's...i'll be in 34a though.

What's Your Fitness Focus? 2017 Day One - Let's Make This Hunting Year Fitter than Last
bigorange replied to Healy Arms's topic in Hunting Fitness
Started strong...then between a couple injuries and my dietary/beer habits I went downhill for most of the year. Back on track this year with some realistic goals. This part of the forum does help... -
Wow...awesome buck. Congrats!

Sorry if you live close to me. We only blew stuff up for about an hour 10-11. Most of the trash is still in my yard and the vacant lot next door.
-
Nice buck. Congrats!

Awesome to see...congrats to the hunter and great job to cwt volunteers!

I don't always agree with Casey but this is spot on.

Had the honor of helping my good friend Travis on his sheep hunt. After a week of scouting and several days hunting in some really nasty wind he got it done with a 278 yard shot across a canyon in about 25 mph cross-wind. Thanks to some great advice we connected with some great local sheep hunting addicts who helped us out tremendously. Great group of folks and couldn't have gotten it done without them. Beautiful animals and amazing country. Can't wait to get back there again on a future hunt.

I've unsubscribed from folks whose content I really liked because of annoying ways they said something. Or more recently one too many "I've always wondered___" in reference to very basic things that they should look up instead of talking about it. (Maybe too judgmental but got on my nerves) Right or wrong if it bothers you then you don't have to listen.

Well said. I've ever seen anything but pure class out of Jay Scott. Amazing ram and no sense dragging all of this through the mud.
