I don’t think Sumlin is much of a hula dancer.

Woman shot at popular shooting area in Buckeye
bigorange replied to deercrazy's topic in The Campfire
Sounds like a couple of spots near Tucson in the Redington Pass area. Crowded and dangerous. Eventually they were closed, fenced, and posted as no shooting areas. Reportedly the EPA did a soil study and found insanely huge amounts of lead which was the justification used to shut them down. -

Wasn’t gonna say anything but I thought I saw her too.

Awesome...congrats!

Another to consider is the Savage Trophy Hunter youth model. My buddy got one for his kid and has been a great rifle for him. Usually a decent scope bundle available too.

Yep. Cats always have trouble at Colorado. I think Buffs will give a lot of teams trouble this year.

Wow...sounds like you’re saying just wait until football season. Hmmm...

Beautiful buck to be proud of. Congrats!

Bump. Love my 2200 and this looks to be very similar...could use the extra room but then again Id fill it up too easily. LoL
-
Wow 7 miles. Way to stick with it, but bummer on the meat. Nice buck.
-
Yeah hopefully a nice kick in the pants and dose of reality to motivate them. Id much rather start low and work back up than try to stay on top with everyone gunning for you.
-
Nice buck. Congrats on breaking the dry spell.

Colorado always tough at home...Cats have them next and Buffs always give them trouble.

Updated with a better pic...not as dark as the one from my phone.

After my buddy and I tagged out this weekend we decided to treat our families to fresh backstrap prepared on the Traeger for New Years Day dinner. I used this recipe and it turned out wonderful. Ill definitely be making this again! https://www.traegergrills.com/recipes/wild-game/venison-tenderloin-backstrap#ReviewHeader

Not even a tiny scrap leftover for the dog. Everyone loved it, even the folks who didnt think they liked deer. Id highly recommend this for your dads elk too. Ill be using this same marinade for steaks and other cuts besides backstrap too. Cooking the whole backstrap this way and then slicing to serve was great if you have a backstrap or large piece from the elk. I expect steak will be just as good.

This. Just used my daughter’s new rifle with brake on my coues hunt for the first time...ear plugs in the cheek rest pouch on the stock kept them handy...and also packed a set of electronic ear muffs so I could hear my buddy call ranges when we set up. Piece of cake.
-
Recognize that cheek rest? Works well with the new rifle.

No pics. Nothing remarkable.

Updated with pics of both bucks together.

Very cool!

Always thought these looked really cool... -
If so I may have glassed you up quartering your buck...wearing a Ford t-shirt for quartering and pack out. Congrats!

Decent turnout today in 34a. 25 deer, 5 bucks...2 decent ones hanging with does and sparring a little. Wouldnt say they were chasing but definitely following the does around.
