    DRAW DEADLINE!

I usually count on you guys to remind me but was ahead of the game this year. Rollin the dice on late kaibab and some desert sheep this year. No more buying points since I will never have enough anyhow.Might as well roll them. Good luck! I drew early kaibab and late Dec coues without a lot of points...it can happen.

Always Good Idea to Watch for Changing Regs

Exactly. Ill probably never buy another lion tag just in case...unless I ever actually decide to go out specifically for lion.

Always Good Idea to Watch for Changing Regs

Some units had the multi-tag limit where you could kill more than 1 per year (1 per day I think) until whatever limit was reached, then it was 1 per year. This is more like bear where the unit is closed once the limit is reached.

Always Good Idea to Watch for Changing Regs

Too much to keep up with now...may not be worth getting a lion tag every year "just in case" anymore...

    Any private pilots here?

Pretty random topic, but hey thats what the campfire is about. Ive always had a desire in the back of my mind to take flying lessons...dont exactly know how or when it started but maybe even back to when I was a kid. Just wondering if any pilots here (I know at least one guys screen name has pilot in it) and any advice or pointers on getting started. Yeah I know its expensive.

Thanks. That is what I was thinking too. Used to drive by there all the time on the way to work.

Thanks for all the comments and pointers so far. In Tucson...not a tall guy but not skinny either LoL 5-11 and 215 lb. Looking into the local discovery flights as a starter.

    Mid Life/wife crisis Question

There's a saying with trucks and trailers to buy enough truck for your next trailer...and once you start buying trailers you'll probably buy more and bigger. My wife was a little skeptical until the first time we went camping and she didn't have to go outside to use the bathroom...she was sold after that and now she's a huge fan of the trailer. We started with a smaller 25' travel trailer (bought on here for a great deal BTW) towing with F-150 which didn't tow it great. It "could" tow it and handle it fine by the numbers, but it wasn't enjoyable at all. Upgraded to a 2500 diesel thinking ahead to our "next" trailer and it was night and day difference. Now I'm towing a relatively small 30' fifth wheel (the "next" trailer) and it does fine. Gas vs diesel is a tough call...if you're not towing heavy and often you'll be fine with gas. My buddy's gas 2500 tows great and he tows a lot of heavy trailers for work. The happy wife saying goes a long way too. We really enjoy our trailer and get a lot of use out of it. Over 2 weeks this summer we'll be heading to Glacier and Yellowstone and I can't wait! Heck you could easily hold onto the classic popup for more remote hunting trips or whatever. Good luck and enjoy the decision. Be glad she wants to go camping at all.

Ouch...sorry to hear that. Lots of coyotes around I bet. Most I have seen was on antelope hunt there a couple years ago.

Like a bad reality tv show...hate it but keep checking back to see the latest drama.

    Steven Rinella

Tried to listen to Rogan...even when he had Rinella on I didn’t enjoy it. He lost me when he said “you know what I don’t get” followed by something very basic or stupid one too many times. I really enjoy Rinella though...need to catch up on his shows now.

    Steven Rinella

Ive always enjoyed his stuff. I prefer the books and podcast over the tv show, but its not bad. I can say I learn something every time I read or listen to him. If you want a good read check out his book American Buffalo. Really good.

Sometimes it ain't about the money!

Man that's some good stuff right there. Wow. We gave our kids (11 and 13) a summer project to come up with an idea and build or make it with little help from me or my wife...will see what they come up with. So far it looks like we may get a doggie shade structure out of it.
