Thanks yeah I found the Google Earth info which makes sense...easy to save the markers to PC then import them. That's a handy converter too. Guess I either need to start using Basecamp with my GPS or keep manually entering them if I want to use the same markers in OnX.

This is how I feel lately...been off the wagon and time to get back to work. Monday check-in for some accountability.

Congrats on the tag...that’s some great luck! On that kind of a time crunch I’d be calling a guide...even if they’re full with clients they may have scouting packages or able to provide good info.

I have 2 camping spots down there I can find in the dark, but not sure I could tell someone how to get there without looking at map first. I’ll PM you. Neither spot is a secret so you’ll probably have company or someone will beat you there.

Hate flat brims but my daughter lets me use her 6.5 on my hunts. So far it’s had one 425yd cold bore one-shot kill and watched the buck fall in the scope. Not as long as you’re asking about, but I doubt I’d shoot much farther at an animal just due to doubting my own abilities.

So now it becomes $26 a year to buy 2 points or to put in without drawing and buy the super point. I do see this accelerating point creep, and to be competitive will probably have to buy it. For a good cause...I waste $13 on a lot of other stuff.

I grew up hunting whitetails in TN...probably very similar. It took a little getting used to when I first moved out west, but I love a good spot n stalk in the desert now. Don’t worry about knowing what you’re doing...just get out there and have fun. Nothing like spot n stalk on rutting bucks. Great experience.
