Oh okay...didn’t realize the connection there.

Popcorn and powerlines...

Loving the updates...good luck and keep the pics coming!

Nice! Saw one of the auction tags was a kid...that was cool to see too. I don’t think that was on here though.
-
Beat me to it...LoL
-
But are there powerlines on that ridge?
-
Bump for a nice cover. I have one of these on my Ram.

Updating here...I ended up going with the Valdres. I was surprised how narrow they run and ended up having to return them for EE wide even though I've never worn wides that I remember and the normal width seemed to fit okay in the store. So far I'm impressed. Lighter weight, but still sturdy and all leather. Working on the lace configuration and starting break-in before my buddy's elk hunt in Sept!

Bump for a great deal on a nice-looking rig.

I don’t see a small handed dentist in the pic. LoL
-
Not yet. Bears don’t like fake turf. Mine has attracted a few bobcats though.

Silence...even today...lunch break at work looking for pics. Good luck to all you tagholders...

Not sure you have to, but the laws are definitely a lot more lenient for 501c3. I ran into this running some raffles for a kids’ sports team...luckily we’re a 501c3 so it was a lot simpler. OP is probably in NM so the laws would be different. I agree with what others have posted...would need more details and definitely would make it more appealing if it were for a conservation group and not personal profit.

Hello sir. I hav the buck you’re looking for via email at powerlines@poacher.com -
I like the Prescott engraving...reminds me of the Ruger buck I chased several times on my 19a antelope hunt...right outside the factory parking lot a couple times.

My reading journey as a very new hunter

Nice list. I’ve added a couple of these to my list as well for future reads. A couple to consider... 60 Years a Hunter by Bill Quimby (RIP Bill...you’ve probably seen his posts in the archives too) American Buffalo by Steve Rinella Backcountry Bowhunting by Cameron Hanes (even if you don’t like him as a person/hunter/celebrity it’s a good book) Man on the Run by Zeke Pipher - not really hunting focused but a good read about balancing work, hobbies, and home life. -

They rub...not always obvious or easy to find depending on the tree, cactus, whatever it is they rub on...I’ve seen some rubs in hardwood areas that looked just like eastern whitetail rubs. -
Any pics of the Rugers?

Welcome to the site and good luck. Where in TN are you moving? I grew up there...lots of private land but also lots of deer.

We all know that’s a 4b bull...
-
Nice...low miles too.

As already stated...all the roads come in from 286 on the eastern boundary of the unit. The western boundary is reservation and the line basically runs along the top of the mountain range. I’d recommend driving past all the flats and up into the canyons for coues. The steeper the better and consider getting a lion tag too...good luck and have fun! Stats book...look for the latest copy of Hunt Arizona on the AZGFD website. Lots of stats there for draw and success rates among other things.

I guess we shouldn’t talk about the 350+ bulls near Elkhorn Ranch either.
