Awesome…congrats and thanks for sharing! and yeah…as others have said at least he gave it a try and will have good memories. Both of my kids tried hunting and it wasn’t for them. I’m just glad they both tried it.

Awesome buck and story. Congrats again! 😁

Worst case there are OTC youth tags too…that’s what I’ve done with my kids and my buddy’s kid.
-
Nice! I’ve had a lot of turkey tag soup so you’ve got 1 more than me. Youth turkey hunt is usually a blast too if your son is interested.

Friends daughter hit her first buck in shoulder sharp quartering to…passed through and blew the balls off on the way out. Lots of mileage out of that one.

Similar but my trend is to hit about D11 and find an artery.

Thanks for sharing…love these stories. Not a small town, but my kids’ high school in Tucson has only had a team 3 yrs and it’s been a lot of fun watching the program grow. -

Anything I should know before buying a trager?
bigorange replied to Crazymonkey's topic in The Campfire
I like mine, but it was free several years ago so I didn't shop them...cranked up on high it sears good enough, but definitely not a true sear. If I was buying one now I don't know which I'd choose. I think the newer ones have a pellet release...mine doesn't and I just scoop them out if I want to change before burning them all. +1 on the smoke tube too. -
Sorry I didn't get home until about 10 last night. I'm around today if you still want them...on SE side of Tucson.

I have a couple in Tucson I’d sell cheap. I never use them anymore. Won’t be home until late this evening.
-
That’s an interesting random purchase!

Not really my place to share pics, but I helped my buddy and his son in 5BN the past couple days. His son killed a nice 6x6 on water Sat evening and we got into some good bugling action Mon and Tue mornings. Rut seems to be picking up but “not quite there” yet in the areas we were hunting.

Don’t go for the second opinion either.

It appears that now 50 is average risk, 45 high risk, 40 higher risk. https://www.cancer.org/cancer/types/prostate-cancer/detection-diagnosis-staging/acs-recommendations.html

Thanks for sharing. Sorry to hear of his passing, but nice to see him remembered.

I'd think it would be appropriate with a specific warrant or an order from a judge saying to open the safe...same as the original situation.
