If you are implying what I think you are, you are wrong, I have no clue who that new member is. My reputation and portfolio speaks for itself and I've worked very hard at building both over the last 12 years, I have no reason to play games or try to get votes on this thread. And for the record and because I keep getting texts or calls about it, we've killed 8 bulls over 400" and 4 of those bulls have been with regular season archery and rifle tags. Not saying that to brag, just to set the record straight. Jim I was kidding and meant no disrespect. I hold you in the highest regard and we know you would never do that, I apologize if you feel your reputation was compromised, I would never do that intentionally.

Pretty sure all of the junior cow tags are guaranteed draws with four points as long as you list them as a first or second choice. I know that's true for 6a, 3c, and 1. The only exception might be 22 or 23, but I'm fairly certain hey are guaranteed too. You are correct.

I have no recommendations, I have no emotional attachment to any of the guys. But I thought it was interesting that right before Jim posted someone with a brand new account recommended him (only kidding, we all know he wouldn't do that) Interesting to see the difference in posts from long time CWT guys and the <10 post crowd. Glad to see the regulars maintaining the standard. Stay classy San Diego!

No kidding. Don I guess you didn't know that if you draw an early muzzy tag with 6 points then you are never allowed another elk tag.

Glad to see you finally put him on the ground. How healed up was the arrow wound?

Gould's Hunt Giveaway and Free Spring Turkey Seminar
Flatlander replied to Jay Scott's topic in Turkeys!
That lucky bugger just drew his 39th elk tag in a row and won a Gould's hunt? Dude must be living right. -
I drew a limited opp cow hunt on my 3rd choice in 2001.

So i just found out that my wife and I's apps were both filled out with the same card. I thought I had used different cards but apparently I was wrong. Now I have to sit and wait for results to know if its her cow tag or my archery bull tag. The waiting never ends!

Mine is showing 114 on the nuts
-
Congrats Jeff! No doubt you will kill some studs.
-
Well its all irrelevant to me now, $114 hit the credit card last night. Now all I can think about is bugling bulls. Its either early rifle or early archery this is my first early tag. Its been a long drought, my last AZ elk tag was a Nov. bull tag in 2005.

Got a hit last night for $114. Either early rifle or early archery. It will be my early tag, so stoked.

The reason I ask about points is I was wondering if they are going to run the Bonus Pass credit cards first, followed by the first/second pass, followed by third/fourth choice pass. Just trying to identify patterns to get smarter about the draw.
-
Congrats! Now I am going to be checking my cards every 12 minutes. You must have drawn tag numero uno. How many points did you have?

That buck scores stud in my book

Creed have you tried posting this on Archerytalk? Their forums are pretty lame but the classifieds are pretty good for bows and gear.

The next 3 weeks are almost unbearable.

It shouldn't need a new cam, probably just a module.

From the 2013 Elk Regs: A parent, grandparent or legal guardian holding a big game tag may allow the use of that tag by their minor child or minor grandchild pursuant to the following requirements: • The minor child is 10 to 17 years old on the date of transfer; • The minor child has a valid hunting or combination license on the date of transfer; • A minor child less than 14 years old has satisfactorily completed a Department-approved hunter education course by the beginning date of the hunt; • The grandparent, parent or the child’s guardian must accompany the child in the field, and must be within 50 yards of the child when the animal is taken. So if 95 yr old grandma passes the tag, 95 yr old grandma does the hiking. Getting kids into hunting is a good thing, sorry if it gets in the way of you and your coveted tag. Big picture, we need to recruit future generations. Kuddos to parents who are willing to apply for years just to pass the tag to their kid and then go bust their butts so their kid can have a good hunt. And my "not relevant" point about the kid drawing a tag is that without a lot of luck, or very selfless parents / grandparents a 10 year old today has no reasonable expectation of being able to draw the tag, ever. Their only hope is to be selected in the random pass of the draw. With odds less than 1% in 65 years of applying the kid really still only has less than a 65% chance of drawing the tag EVER. What's next people protesting Hunt of a Lifetime?

One thing to consider is that young people just now beginning to apply for sheep may not EVER draw the tag. The max point pool is so far ahead of a kid just now turning 10 that in order to catch it they are simply going to have to outlive everyone else. In order to start accumulating sheep points with the intent of reaching max points, and then donating the tag to the kid, the Mom would have had to start applying 10 years before he was even born. Another consideration is that if Mom donated the tag that means Mom had to go on the hunt. If she was willing to apply long enough to draw the tag, and then hike into sheep country with a 10 year old in tow, she has earned the right to let the kid take the ram, in my opinion.

It could have been worse, he could have had a big sugary drink or got a note from the school telling his parents he was fat. cause you know its the school districts job to raise our kids, not educate them. -

I saw this one headed down the 202 Friday afternoon around 5. -
You may see a pending charge a day or two before your card is actually debited, but other than that you don't see anything until they charge your card.
