I know a guy that was getting tags in the same type of manner(mast), now he can't get drawn to save his life. Congrats on the tags, enjoy the wealth. David -
C/W member says his card got hit
azhuntnut replied to Huntn coues's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
I just found out somebody hacked into the game and fish website and was stealing credit card numbers and charging them. They only charged the correct amount so they wouldn't cause any suspicion. They will be calling everybody that got charged to reverse the charges. That sucks. Just kidding. I guess I will have to wait until they post it on the website. I have always used a money order and it has been pretty lucky for me. Congrats to the members who already found out that will be hunting. David -
Thanks for the pictures Josh, thats what I was looking for. I met a trapper on the rez last month that had caught a couple lions in his traps. He was using this beaver scent. He told me it will bring anything in to his traps. David http://dunnsfishfarm.com/castor_beaver_scent_298_prd1.htm

Your right Jimmy it was four. See I was all flustered from watching the video. The thing I want to know is why the guide with the Mullins hat on had pink undies hanging out from his pants. There were some nice bulls on that video. I especially like the big 6x6 that came running up behind the cows. That guy could have easily shot that bull at forty yards. David

After watching extreme bulls 5 tonight, I am praying I get a tag . If not, then I am going to go out and find a toad for somebody to put an arrow in. I love chasing those big boys around and listening to them bugle. I hope to get some great video this year since I will be spending a ton of time up north this summer. David

Yeah, I ran into "Goosefan" today at the show. Of course I headed over and met Amanda and while I was there I saw my buddy Terry TLH. Amanda was nice enough to call over Coues and Sheep so I could meet him also. We need to try and get a date set up so more people can put faces with names and tell lies, I mean storys about hunting. I know over on the AZOD board they have a get together each summer up in the pines. Maybe we could combine it with them and have a huge camping trip. David

I think if I was shortpants, I would donate it before I would sell it to somebody lowballing like yourself. Like I always say, if you can buy it cheaper then do so, don't disrespect the person selling the item. David

Terry, Give me a call if you are going to be there on Sunday. David

Here is the other bow I won at the banquet. It is a 2006 Browning Illusion. I took this info off of another website explaining the features of the bow. The HOTTEST bow ever offered by Browning Archery. The Illusion features the very best in parallel-limb and vibration-dampening technologies. One of the fastest and quietest bows you'll EVER shoot. The Illusion features the new Trance™ Cam that offers four inches of draw length adjustment, as well as let-off that is adjustable from 80% to 65%, all without the use of a bow press. The Trance™ Cam is matched with a massive 4½” idler wheel to maintain even tiller and optimize nock travel. The Illusion also sports new Hyperlite™ limb pockets which provide a solid support for the limb while streamlining the overall look of the Illusion and providing additional weight savings! IBO Speed: 313 fps Axle-to-Axle: 32" Brace Height: 7.25" Draw Range: 25-30" Weight Ranges: 50, 60, 70# Physical Weight: 4.0 lbs Finish: New Break Up Camo Grip: 2-PC Hardwood Eccentrics: Trance Solocam Warranty: Lim.Lifetime* The bow still has the warranty paperwork attached and I have the original box. These bows were just recently sold at Sportsmans Warehouse for $499.00 plus tax. I will let it go for $450.00.

I have not seen it done, but have been told that Randy Ulmer can shoot paper plates at 100 yards with a broadhead. I am sure if anybody shoots long enough and far enough, it could be done. Just last year I started to stretch my distance out to seventy yards and was doing alright, but wouldn't take a shot like that until I was perfect. David

Amanda, Do you know which days you are going to be there? I think it would be a great idea to meet up. David

I am heading out Sunday Morning early. David

Josh, Can you get an idea of when they will drop just by seeing there horns while they are still carrying them? I planned on taking a trip up near Flagstaff during the week of the 10th, but might postpone from what you are saying. I love the whales tail on that shed. David

Any More Cool Trail Cam Pics

Josh, When you were setting up your camera in this area, did you already know there was a cat around? If so, what type of sign do you look for when setting up your camera? David -
It looks like that bull was shot and then fell over backwards and died that way. I have never thought about hitting those deep canyons when looking for sheds, but I guess it would be worth it from now on. It amazing how many big elk are using that area. David

Check out this PSE X force. David

They look like the same kind I saw behind Fort Grant about two years ago while hunting for bear. I saw about twenty birds. David

That is a great find for sure. Are the Arizona Gould's turkey only located in certain parts of the state? David

I am in the same boat as you. I also own the PSE primos and have good luck with it, but I am ready for another one. I shot the new bowtech gaurdian last Sunday and was very impressed. It was set at sixty pounds and pushed a 300 grain arrow at 305fps while still carrying over 70 pounds of kinetic energy. I also shot the Tribute. This is a very nice bow also. I went down and checked out the PSE mach x today and was told it is blazing fast, but has alot of hand shock. I am waiting for the Ross Cardiac to show up and the Bowtech Commander so I can shoot both of them before I make up my mind. David

Yes, it was the 4bn hunt. I would only take another one of these hunts if it was at the end of the year. David

I got a call from game and fish again telling me I got drawn again for the supplemental elk tag in the same unit. I guess I was number seven on the list last time, and number four this time. I think I am going to go buy a lottery ticket. I told them to make sure my name gets drawn on the regular draw. She told me my name gets put back in the pot if I didn't shoot an elk on my last hunt. I went on a whitetail hunt in unit 32 back in 1992. We would park the truck and start the long walk to our hunting area. I would always see muleys on the way in and then as we got higher it would turn to whitetail. I hunted there again in 94 and saw that the whitetail had moved down almost a half mile of terrain. Then in 2000 I helped a buddy in the same area. The whitetail were actually mixed in with the muleys now and were starting to work out onto the flats. In 2002 I headed back for some more fun and found out that most of the muleys had completely moved out of the area and the whitetail had taken over the territory. We were now seeing them way out on the flats in the greasewoods. I spoke with a friend of mine that is a fourth generation hunter in that area, and he told me that they never saw whitetail in this hunting spot until the 70's. They have seen cross breeding of the deer where the whitetail breed the muleys. I think they are a much more aggresive deer and might be a little more whiley to keep from getting killed by the lions as much as the muleys. They keep moving higher into the state. I have them near my property up in East Clear Creek area. In a couple more years I think they will be up in Walnut Canyon area. David
