I don't think you understand my intentions of putting the post here. It was no disrespect towards Amanda, and I think she could understand that. I was bringing it to the attention of our members that hold this site in high respect, and would like to defend it. David

azhuntnut's table for sale

I was hoping it wouldn't come to this, but I just received an email from Jimmy's dad and he sent me over the real picture. If you look real close to the mirror you can see some of the family pictures. This was at the last Mullins get together. Sorry Jimmy, I had to let the truth be known. David -
what does your trophy room contain?

I have a pig mount also, but while trying to hang the elk, I managed to knock the pig off of the wall and knock out his bottom teeth. This is my elk from 2005. I hope to have a pedistal mount for my next one. David -
I was out with my family today and spotted Coosefan hanging out with a buddy. I don't know exactly what he was doing, but I think his buddy was enjoying the time together . David

Here is why the Mullins crew have a hard time finding deer in the morning at the first glassing spot. David

I won't be using that broadhead. Terrible penetration. He should have used a Stinger. David

Jimmy, Remember about a week and a half ago that little trick you played on me? I told you I would get you back for that one. David

Has anybody had the chance to shoot the PSE X-Force? Here is a great video about the bow, but I would like to hear some real world feedback. David
-
It looks like some of you guys spend to much time over at archerytalk. If you don't like a brand, then don't make a comment about the subject. Alot of people talk sh^& about PSE, but I have shot at least ten animals with PSE bows. Oh, and my piece of crap PSE shot a book elk in 05, but they don't make a decent bow. I have said it before, its not the bow that kills the animal, it is the person behind it. I am not loyal to any brand, unless they want to pay me. I drive GM trucks, but if Dodge or Ford make a truck I like better than I will buy one. I don't care as long as it works for me. David

The main thing I like about the bow is the kinetic energy. I like shooting heavy arrows and this bow would really throw them down range without loosing much speed. I could still shoot a 450 grain arrow over 300fps. I guess I need to drive down to Tucson this week and give one a try. David http://www.pse-archery.com/pdf/X-Force%20D...d3a905bc06c6118

I'm surprised you guys weren't holding hands in that pic. Poor Bret, that pig is taller than he is. David -
Any More Cool Trail Cam Pics

This is what I found on my camera when I went up to my property this past weekend. I was a little mad that somebody had walked right past my no trespassing signs, and then thought those kids looked familier. I gave my buddy a call that has a cabin in the area and he told me while driving around he thought it would be funny to let the kids play in the salt and my corn dispenser. He also left another pic for me, but I can't post that one. Payback is going to be fun. David -
I even put an orange shirt on this weekend while shed hunting, but it didn't work. I could tell by the quad tracks that there had already been alot of guys in the area. Nice finds Josh. David

When I shot my 05 bull I was using a pretty heavy carbon express arrows. I think it was around 430 grains. I used the Magnus stinger two blade with bleeders broadhead, and it was devistating on my elk. This year and am going to use the same bow and arrow, but I am going to try the new Magnus Snuffer SS broadhead. It seems like these cut on contact broadheads perform well on the big elk. If you are going to use a light arrow, try to use a 100 grain head and a cut on contact broadhead that flys well from your bow. Make sure you get your bow in tune and then try the broadheads. I think I am shooting close to 70lbs of kinetic energy out of my current set up. I always try to have as much kinetic energy as possible. Elk are not hard to get close to, and a shot under thirty yards in the norm. Try to move up the weight on your bow as you get stronger. Good luck. David http://www.magnusbroadheads.com/snufferss.html

I also have some video of a big 5x5 from 2005. He wasn't that big at the time though. It was the biggest 5x5 I had ever seen. Have you tried putting a number on the horn? David

Josh, Are those the sheds from Nicks bull? NeoLaquachi, Great looking coues and I like that big bull also. Some great trophys from the rest of you guys. My boy is just getting old enough to hunt with me, so I should have some father and son pics soon. I had a lot of fun hunting this particular pig. I have shot a bunch of them, but this one stands out for some reason. Of course, this is one of my proudest moments. I spent a ton of time and effort to harvest this fine bull. Plus my family was patient in letting me do my thing. Younghunter touched up this picture for me, and I think it turned out great. First pic was a couple weeks before my hunt started. Here is the finished product. It came out great. I only have about an inch to spare at the ceiling. When I shoot my next one, I will do a pedestal mount. David -
My neighbor has had that hunt twice and had the most action setting up near ponds. David

Bonus Points it took to draw or not draw Elk
azhuntnut replied to 111's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
It wouldn't let me vote. I had a hunters ed point since I messed up on my apps last year. So with one point I drew an early archery bull tag. David -
Not trying to rub it in, but I drew an archery bull tag with only hunters education point. Now I have a good reason for that new bow I have been wanting. David

I went down and talked to my source and she said they should be showing by noon. I don't if that means on the website, but when I was there she did say they were trying to get the phones going and I guess she was right since they have already started on the phones. David -
C/W member says his card got hit
azhuntnut replied to Huntn coues's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
We wouldn't have this problem with the company that does the charging if game and fish required a money order for payment, plus they wouldn't be charged the three percent fee from the credit card companys. I think the guys that still pay with money order or check should be given an extra bonus point. I am going to head down to the office today and talk to a person I know that works in the office across the street and see if she can tell me when they are going to post the results. David -
Wasn't there some down by Mammoth and Reddington at one time. David

Has anybody ever tried making a food plot? I was looking at the Biologic website and they have a new product called Hotspot that allows you to plant seed around your treestand or blind that will help attract more deer. I think I am going to try to put some down about a 1000 square foot area on my property up north just to see if it works or not. Last weekend I dropped off some hay, two fifty pound bags of salt, two homemade corn feeders, and fifty pounds of birdseed. I figured if I add the food plot, I should be able to get some real good pictures of the wildlife in my area. David

Where is your property?? Might be a good spot for me in September. In the forrest. Well I don't see the rangers walking through the forrest telling everybody to remove there salt, deer kane, and all of the other attractants available out there. If it works on my property, then I will try it out in the middle of the forrest. David

Jacks Canyon was the last place I heard of them, which is also close to Chavez Pass. I am going to hit that canyon this summer and see if they actually live in the area. David
