I skin and quarter a lot if animals every year and I have tried all kinds of knives trying to find the right one. Several years ago while walking through Home Depot I found this dual sided utility knife and thought I would give it a try. The blades are thick and very inexpensive. I thought if I lost it I wouldn't be out much. I use it all the time and just carry a few extra blades. You can find the dual sided utility knife at Home Depot for about five bucks. I buy the thicker shingle hook blades. I still use the Havalon for skinning out the face. David

$2000 or best reasonable offer. David

I passed the 300 road off 87 on Sunday and it was still closed. If fact, all the roads east of 87 towards Winslow were closed. Long Lake road is open and few roads west of 87. David

They called my buddy 2 weeks ago to let him know they lost his elk app and need his info. He got a call today asking for his credit card info since he drew an elk tag. David

Cabelas cards usually take a while to show up. Either me or my son drew an early bull tag and it just showed up this morning. I have had game and fish charges show up 5-6 days later. David

I've used this trailer on a late elk hunt and several deer hunts and camping. Plenty of room for two guys and your equipment. Plus you can take it into those hard spots with rough roads. David

Sold on another site. David

The Rifle Railz will not fit a Ruger bolt action rifle since the front action bolt is located inside of the magazine door. Somebody got a great deal on this combo. David

I used TR Taxidermy in Flagstaff. He was highly recommended by another member. He was able to do some custom work for me and finished in a timely manner. He has done over 1000 antelope mounts. I had him do the mount, I did the top structure, and another member on here helped me build the pedestal out of some really old wood I found in the forest. I had him insert a tube inside of the body so I could spin it on the pedestal. David http://trtaxidermyart.com

I received confirmation from DPMS that they have discontinued this caliber. I'm sure it will go up in value even more. I'm building another Creedmoor, so I have no reason to hang onto this one. If you have never owned an AR before, they are very accurate and have a lot less recoil. David

I'm in the market for a new pack and I have been researching the ultra 6000 and like it a lot. I have read where people have ordered the Icon frame and put the 6000 pack on it. I'm just wondering what the Icon frame weighs and if there is an advantage over the ultra frame. David

I just recently got the go ahead from my doctor to start training again after a knee injury. I have been able to hike the last tow days and it sure feels great. I am also getting back in great shape for my spring archery bear hunt. I'm only about 10 over weight, but I really need to be able to carry a bunch of weight in my backpack. Sounds like your doing pretty good Devon. I cut out gluten about 20 months ago and that has kept my weight in check, and I feel 500% better. David

I scored my Jewell HVR trigger with bottom safety from Bruno's the other day. The safety can be switched to either side for left or right hand shooters. David

My buddy called them Friday at 2:30 and they had some. He got down there and the customer in front of him bought it all. If you do call and they have it, pay for it over the phone and they will hold it until you get there. I have picked up lots of items at one time for other members and friends who just paid up front. After shooting my pig on the 1st with my buddy Gary in tow, we headed back out this morning to find one for him. He was optimistic, since he has shot a pig on the second of January for the last 5 years. About 11 am we found a big group and made a great stalk and got around in front of them. This one came into range first and he shot it at 30 yards. When we retrieved it I noticed it looked pretty big, so I said let's weigh it. He carries a fish scale in his hunting box in case he shoots a big coyote or bobcat. We were happy when it came in at 61 pounds. This is the biggest one to date so far. It's a female and she was missing teeth and most were almost worn down. I had him take one pic with his bow horizontal to show the length. His bow is an old McPherson that has slayed a bunch of pigs. Pronghorn Questions From A Hopeful Goat Hunter
azhuntnut replied to lancetkenyon's topic in Antelope Hunting
My buddy also has 23 points, so we are hoping he gets a tag this year. I helped out on a archery hunt last year and watched several good bucks that nobody ever hunted through both seasons. I will be out all summer looking at goats. David
