Rifle has been sold. Thanks for the interest. I picked this gun up years ago for my boys, but they never shoot it. The gun has been barely shot. I had never seen or heard of one of these guns until I bought it. There is a slight mark on the stock and forearm. I have included pics of them. Included in the sale is the original box with matching serial number on the end. I haven't been able to find one for sale with the box. This is the smoothest lever gun I've ever shot. Here is some information on the gun. The gun was manufactured in West Germany by Erma Werke from 1973-78. It is a 15 shot tube fed, 18.5 inch barrel. Henry rifles now build a similar gun in there factory. I would like to get $475 or I would consider trading for a sub compact auto pistol. David

Besides having a guide license, you will also need liability insurance ($750-$1000 per year) in case someone gets hurt that you are guiding, plus a permit for the county you are guiding in. So if you are guiding in Coconino, you will need to obtain a permit from the forest service. David

I do a lot of coyote hunting and wouldn't use anything but an ar platform. My buddy shoots a .243 loaded with 70 grain bullets and hammers the dogs. I use a 243 wssm and it kills any dog, cat, javelina I hit, no matter where the bullet hits them. Find an ar-10 chambered in .243 and never look back. David

Another option that doesn't require cutting is radio frequency nerve ablation. The doctor runs a needle into your back and burns the end of the nerve that is causing the pain. It takes anywhere from six months to a year to re-grow after the surgery. I have a herniated disc and two others that are in bad shape. I got this procedure done and it started to relieve the pain. It took about 8 procedures to get complete relief, but it was well worth it. Exercise, weight loss, and my inversion chair keeps me going now. David

We drew a couple any deer tags in 5a/b this year. This was my first rifle hunt in about six years and I really wanted to find some great deer for us. I scouted a bunch throughout the summer, but I had a hard time finding many deer. I tried a new area about three weeks ago and finally found some deer that I could pattern, but they were in a hard place to hunt. We hiked in opening morning with the intentions of setting up above them before they could get to there beds, but we could only locate the doe's. They are already starting to showing rutting activity. Saturday morning we were back again, but this time we found no deer at all. I thought they might have moved to the next bowl, but just couldn't relocate them. Sunday morning we awoke to wind that was crazy. The wind gusted all day so we did a little exploring to hopefully find some other deer, but no luck. This morning was a brisk 24 degree's when we headed out. It was really cold, but this kept the deer out a little longer this morning. I located two deer just as the sun came up, the only problem was we only had about seven juniper tree's between us and the deer. We tried a different tactic this time and started our slow stalk like we were archery hunting. We had to cover about 3/4 of a mile to get within range. There was a low spot on the edge of this range so we worked our way closer to the deer in the depression. We finally got to the point where we could see the deer and the wind did a complete 180 on us and the deer got nervous. There were two good bucks in this group, but we could only see the 3x3. He gave me a 270 yard shot, but the grass was so high, I couldn't get me tripod high enough for a rest. I was going to shoot him offhand, but a doe moved in behind him. At this point we had our guns set up on our tripod's. He was using the Rifle Railz on his bolt action, and I had the LOC JAW on my AR. The deer slowly started moving up the ridge. I stopped a forky, but my son couldn't get on him. I kept watching for the other bucks then all of the sudden I hear "boom" and then the sound of a hit deer. I got back in my scope hoping one of the other bucks would show themselves and saw my sons buck tip over. The grass was so tall in the area my son had fully extended his tripod and center post to make the shot. He made a great standing 250 yard one shot kill. He is shooting a .243 with Hornady super performance 95 grain sst. The bullet blew out the heart and split the lungs. We found the bullet lodged under the skin on the opposite side. I'm very impressed with this bullet. I absolutely love hunting with him and I get even more enjoyment out of these hunts when he is successful. We're headed back up next weekend to see if I can make it happen, but I'm already successful in my book. During our hunt we also glassed at least 50-60 antelope, 3 javelina, and a truck load of coyotes. David

I while back a member told me about a product to use in order to kill a beehive I had in my fifth wheel. We shoved one in the hole of my trailer and ran. All the bee's were dead the next day. I decided to give it a try at our place up north. I kept finding spiders in the house and the garage. I hung one in the crawl space under the house and one in the garage. I shot his little brother instead. I decided that on the last day of my hunt I was going to shoot the first buck I found. I wanted some nice filets, not tag soup this fall. I found this buck yesterday, but let him go since I had seen a 4x4 hanging with him in the past. I didn't glass up anything good yesterday and figured I could find this guy again this morning. I located him with 3 doe's right at daybreak, but they were still in a spot where I couldn't make a stalk. I sat down for about ten minutes to wait for them to go over a small rise and made my move. I found them again about 600 yards out, but only had a few tree's between us. I started my stalk, but some how they could hear me walking in the tall grass. They got nervous and started to run towards the hills out of sight. I slowly moved toward the mountain until I got to a spot where I could see the face of the mountain and just waited. After about ten minutes I relocated them coming out of a cut at the bottom of the ridge. The buck moved behind a juniper and I ranged it at 376 yards. I then mounted my rifle on my tripod using my LOC JAW and checked my bullet drop cheat sheet. After a while he slowly moved out behind the tree and stopped for a bite to eat. I took a deep breath and slowly squeezed the trigger. I watched through my scope as the bullet hit the buck. He dropped like he had been hit by a lightning bolt. If you look close in the pic you can see where I hit him with a high shoulder shot. I was using my ar chambered in 243wssm that I loaded with 85 grain Barnes TSX bullets at around 3500 fps. The bullet did a complete pass through and left a 2 inch hole on the entrance and tore up the heart and caught the top of both lungs. The was my first time using this bullet and I'm very impressed. I found it. It's a blued 209x50 with open sights, but is drilled for a scope. It came on a gun I bought, but I've never shot it. It's yours for free. I'm in the process of building one right now and I went with the 6.5 Creedmoor. I'm trying to go for lightweight also, so I'm using a 20 inch lightweight contoured barrel. The Creedmoor doesn't loose much velocity when the barrel length is reduced. I'm not concerned about the barrel heating up since it will be used for hunting and not the bench. I've included a link to show how cutting down the barrel length affects velocity. oz31p talked about the TC Encore route. I have done this already, and you can build a very lightweight rifle for sure. In fact I have one chambered in 7mm-08 and with the scope that is 6.5 pounds. The barrel is only 16.5 inches long.
