Thank you for all the compliments and likes. Here is a picture of the pad. He was shooting a 243 and Hornady Superperformance 95g SST. It broke his leg on the opposite side. David Toby, By any chance did you get any video or pics of this buck? My video camera battery died before I could get any footage.

Our Rifle Railz works great for kids also. Improves stability and reduces recoil. -

Winchester and Remington utilizing the Rifle Railz Gen2 Hybrid rifle mount. Won't squeeze your stock, change point of impact, or have to dig it out of your pack when your ready to shoot. It's always on and ready to go. -

Need a rifle rest? Try a Rifle Railz Gen2
azhuntnut replied to CouesWhitetail's topic in CouesWhitetail.com Store
Weighs only 3 ounces, plus you can still open the bottom metal to access ammo or insert magazine. Nothing extra to carry or squeeze together the stock of your rifle. Does not change point of impact after installation or require any drilling or additional holes. -
Great story. I expecially like the Arizona history and picture. David

I normally hunt every January with a bow and arrow, but decided this year to give a rifle a try since I have been fighting a shoulder injury for some time now. I have shot over 20 pigs with a bow, but I have never hunted them with a rifle. I hunted all weekend with DCA helping some junior hunters, so I didn't have a chance to hunt. I forgot I even had the tag until yesterday so I jumped in my rig this morning and headed to a spot I had never been before. I found pigs high up on a mountain about 3/4s of a mile away. I started my climb and would stop every once in a while when I thought I was close. I finally noticed one at 45 yards. I got my phone out and started taking a little video. I went ahead and attached my rifle to my tripod waiting for a good shot when I noticed the wind change and they were getting nervous. One ran off and got the rest of the herd on high alert. I picked one out of the group and shot him using my sons .243 that I had loaded with some 85 grain Barnes TSX bullets. He ran down hill about ten yards end over end. I wanted to use my Creedmoor I recently built, but my loads for it weren't quite ready. David No, the gun isn't pointed at my head. It's just the angle of the picture.

I built a 6.5 Creedmoor on a Gary Eliseo chassis. He is located in Cottonwood and has several configurations. I really like the fact that you can use AR furniture on it. He can recommend what action will work best, but mine is a custom built left hand eject from Xtreme Machining. I'm going to build my next one on an MDT chassis. David https://mdttac.com http://www.gotxring.com/hunting/. Here is a link to the one I built. http://www.coueswhitetail.com/forums/topic/55317-building-my-65-creedmoor-chassis/?hl=eliseo

Anybody in north Peoria or Glendale interested in trading your WLR primers for either Fed215 or Rem 9 1/2m. I'm working up a new load and want to try the WLR and see if there is any difference in accuracy over the others. David

How far are you guys loading the X's off the lands? I am .0015 off right now and they are a little erratic. I have one load that is stringing left to right touching. I think I have to just decrease the OA to tighten them up. These bullets sure are long. These are loaded at 2.975 sitting next to a loaded .243 at 2.81. David

Has anybody seen this article? It sounds like it would change the laws here in Az, unless I'm reading it wrong. David http://thebostontribune.com/federal-government-changes-minimum-hunting-age-18/

6.5 creedmoor powder choice
azhuntnut replied to Zeke-BE's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
I have used H4350 and RL-17 with great success. I just recently got my order of ELD-X bullets and plan on loading them with the RL-17. I found my barrel likes the faster burning powder since it is only 20 inches. The longer barrels seem to really like the H4350 around 41.5-42.5, or 2750-2800 fps. David -
Do yourself a favor and buy a K&M primer pocket uniformer, flash hole uniformer, and the single stage primer seater. You can adjust the seater to provide the depth you want on the primer. It is even faster than my RCBS. While your at it, also get the VLD chamfer tool since you are loading VLD or ELD bullets. David http://kmshooting.com

There is a nice trail I hike at Calderwood Butte on 99th Ave north of Jomax road. There is a small parking lot on the left side of the road. The trail goes to the top and you can do a circle around the top part and back down. I have killed 3 rattlers so keep your ears open. I like to hike with a ski pole now. David

I have one from az armory and I have never had any issues. Plus it's designed so you don't need to use a wedge. I also have DPMS and another one from a place in Scottsdale. A lot of them are machined right hear in az under several names. David
