Rem 700 long action search
rnhunter replied to rnhunter's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
Ok, sounds interesting, I'll have to take a look at the action on pg&g. Might work for my needs. -
Leica Rangemaster 1600 REDUCED !!!!! $450.00
rnhunter replied to Campnichols's topic in Classified Ads
Would you consider $350 prepaid am express card and $200 bass pro gift cards? -
I have been on the shelf for several months, real busy at work. I searched the Internet for some reviews of the Accubond Long Range and can't find anything real helpful. Anyone have any real time experience shooting these yet? I am mostly interested in .284 bullets in 7mag.

OK. Thanks for the information.

Selling a Leupold range finder. The RX-1000i TBR with DNA. Great range finder, used on archery elk hunt last year. Very minimal use besides ranging targets at the range. Selling to raise money for Leica range finder. Original packaging, carry case, and band-new battery. 480-202-8285. Call or text. Asking 370.00

Great range finder used on 1archery hunt last year. Excellent condition in original packaging. No scratches or blemishes on unit and glass. Retails for 399. I am looking to get 370.00. I want to upgrade to the Leica rangefinder for some long range rifle shooting Call or txt 480-202-8285. I live in the Gilbert, AZ area.

What caliber are you shooting? I am working on my Sendero in 7 mag. Put a Jewell trigger on it. Fine shooting rifle. I am not quite at 1/2 moa for 200 yds yet. Need to find the right load still.

Wondering if you guys can help me out interpreting some groups I shot yesterday. Obviously seems to be a pattern of a low left flier. Question is, is this a problem with my form, reloading techniques, or extraneous factors at work,ie, it was fairly breezy while I was shooting with a left to right wind. I would lean towards something I am doing occasionally with my shooting form but what do you guys think? These were all different loads.
-
Shedhunteraz, I would probably be interested in a few lbs of the ram shot if you want to work something out. I haven't ever loaded with it, wouldn't hurt to give it a try.

The bull was archery last year. Scored right at 350. The most fun I have had hunting! Two brothers and one other friend also scored on nice bulls. The biggest was a 365. We posted last year in the elk forums. Thanks for the kind words

Haven't shot off a vice. If you mean a led sled? I used one a long time ago but never felt that confident shooting from it.

What was your load for the Re-19. I was up to 64 gr. still wasn't getting fps I wanted but no signs of pressure yet. I do like the re 19&22 for sure. Sounds like I should try the h1000 as well
-
Some good ideas. It does seem to be a mental thing about that 3rd shot to complete a nice group. I have shot a few 4 and 5 shot groups. I just like to think they can all go in the same hole. Rcdinaz I would try some h1000 If I could find any. I have heard good things about that powder. I am going to run out of powder period before too long!

It is a factory Remington Sendero with the recoil lug bedded, so I believe yes. I have pretty much decided to do a full bedding job to see what that gets me though. I did put a Jewell trigger on it also.
-
Dang! That's a good question....I would have to say it is usually my 3rd shot! ruins my great group!
-
Shooting 7mm mag. I feel good about RE 22 about 64gr. A few of the groups were RE19 63.5 and 64 gr. I haven't tried much else as those powders have been a great combo with the Berger bullets.

Congrats Houston ! Beautiful archery Buck

You guys need to let me know if it is OK to try and do this. I have over 250 unfired brass/ loaded ammo for .300 win Mag. I have decided it is doubtful I am going to aquire this caliber any time soon. I am in need of 7mm mag brass though and was wondering if it would be possible to trade for some 7mm brass or just sell this 300 ammo?? I am not sure if ammo sales need to be tracked or whatever. anyway this is the breakdown of what I have; 65 Federal loaded factory ammo. 87 Remington loaded shells and 15 unfired brass. 72 once fired mix of rem and federal and 10 unfired Winchester brass and 5 loaded. Not sure what the loads or bullets are on the loaded ammo. I could pull a few bullets if anyone wanted to know. I would like to get ahold of some unfired 7mm Mag Winchester brass. Let me know what you think
-
For now I am going to keep brass/ammo around. Knowing I can resize to 7 mag gives me options. Thanks
-
Ok. we'll see how it goes. I haven't decided for sure but I will let you know if I decide to sell.
-
Great. I will send a PM.
-
Ok. I didn't know you could alter brass to such a degree as that. I'm not sure if it would be a job I would try to undertake but it gives me some options. Thanks
-
First off apologize for for my ignorance on the topic but I want to know what options there are to improve a Remington 7 mag sendero for better accuracy. I have decided I can't really go the way of a custom built rifle and know the sendero is a great gun. Would it make sense to put a match grade barrel on or do other custom work to this rifle? I know Remington does some upgrades but is it enough to get sub moa accuracy? Would like to lighten it up a bit also but not sure how you could do that except for a lighter barrel. Any thoughts would be great!

Thanks .308 nut. I will have to run all that by whoever I take this rifle to for fine tuning.
-
Ok. I have purchased the Sendero. Strangely enough that is actually the first rifle I have ever bought for myself. My dad was such a gun collecting nut that I have been fortunate to receive a steady stream of rifles from my dear ol dad. I have the Jewell trigger on order and we will just go from there. I guess carrying a heavy rifle isn't the end of the world, especially if in the end it results in a heavy pack load of venison.
