it might be early but yes i'm already getting ready for august. So today i went out and found a new water hole. I was excited to see alot of deer traffic there. on the other hand a little bumed to see 2 blinds made up there. i was going to set up my camara since there wasnt there one already but decided to get some info on what i should do from you guys... the blinds looked like they have been there for a while and may have been recently used... but its public land ...so what shold i do??

Yeah I was thinking of doing this the spot looks really nice and I would love to get a coues with my bow already!! Thanks for the thoughts guys. I know the deer are there so I might hold off on setting my cameras out. If I can find another spot ill defenetly go for the more secluded one but if not i think I'll try this particular water hole come August.

As some of you remember I shot my first big game animal in August 2011. I was excited and decided to make a rug outta the bear. A year and a half later ( due to my finance issues) I finally was able to pay it off and bring it home today. Thanks to loppers Doyle's taxidermy for thier awesome work. They did a fantastic job. They are some good guys to hang with. I'm debating weather to keep it on the floor or to hang it upon the wall...

Awesome . And I know that's a great accomplishment since you use a recurve!!

Went out hunting hoping to get my first archery elk. with the help of a fellow CWT member I was able to see alot of elk. Unfortunatly i wasnt able to tag one this year, but there is always next year. Guess ill get ready for my december deer tag.

Last Year if any of you recall I harvested my first animal ( a Bear) with a bow. This Year I wanted my brother to give it a try. He brought a friend with who also had a tag. to make a long story short we sat water friday and saturday all day long. I have been getting alot of bears on camara but nothing came in either of those days. At the end of the day saturday around 6pm we heard a rock turn over and tumble down the mountain. I called for an hour but nothing came in. My brother wanted to check it out so we did and he liked the area so much he decided he would hunt it in the morning using a call and his friend will sit the water. 6am sunday morning we reach our destination, my brother in the "new" area, and his friend and I at the water. as soon as my brother gets there he started to call, and continued till 7am... meanwhile his friend fell asleep in the blind. at 7:15ish he wakes up to something rubbing behind his ear. In total shock and disbelieve there was a bear right behind him sniffing his ear. I didnt move a muscle and he rached for the bow. The bear was actually inside the blind with us and it saw him move. the bear got scared and jumped out of the blind 5 feet in front of us. My friend got scared and feel backwords startling the bear to run behind us 15 yards. those would be the last few steps he took before the arrow passed through. he went 40 yards and expired shortly after that. Although my brother didn;t get a bear i was happy someone did. We'll see what this weekend has in store for him.

Thats is a way cool video, im suprised to hear she was a mother bear and didn't attack??? isn't that a mother bears first instinct, to protect her cubs??

I'm already getting pretty excited for the up coming archery bear season. have over 10 bears coming in day after day. hoping to help my brother tag one of these monsters. I would prefer he takes the big blondie i think that little bear is kinda cool looking... Enjoy

Ive been doing some scouting in unit 22 for elk and bears. I found a nice bear but no elk yet. Im hoping i can help my brother take this bear in august. how big do you guys think it is?also got a cool pic of a sow and cub. enjoy

no I get on every now and again. Ill be hunting these bears in August. I can post more if you guys want me to??

The sow is actually alot lighter. i got her on another camara on that spot and she is a light cinnoman. even if it is the sow, i got a good variety to choose from

I set out my camara a couple weeks ago hoping to get some pictures of bears... Results where great!!! I'm hoping to help my brother tag this big Boar.

So I've been doing some thinking, and was wondering if it is ok to sell your ELK tag. I believe I have herad somewhere that you can sign your tag over to someone else if you don't want to use it anymore( like a father to is son or something like that). Reason is I lost my job and I got alot going on, so I'm almost sure I won't be able to go this time. SO if its nothing illigal to do I was thinking about raffling it off or something of that sort. what do you guys think or know about selling your tags?

Well if you count all the elk around the state in everyone's house..... I'm thinking more like 80-90% hahahahaha
