Here are the pics. If you look closely you can see the remainder of the body in the background

Well it would be better if it was entered as a kill. But I think I still might enter it in just to say I got one in the record books. Yes I did find a couple claws also so I brought those home as well. If I figure out how to post some pics on my iPad I'll get them up. Not too many bears but I did get some. I'll post those as well if I can figure how to do it on an iPad.

So I went to check the cameras this weekend and on my way down the mountain I stumbled upon a bear bear. If any of you recall I shot one last fall and couldn't find it. Well this bear was about 150 yards directly down will from where I shot it. Same size and same color. In that area there are only about 3 bears that color and all different sizes. There is a hole in the hide in the expect spot I shot it. I know because it was only a 7yard shot. So with this all being said I am about 95%sure this is the bear I shot. I brought home the skull, still in perfect shape. It measured 21 1/8. Can it still be recorded in Boone and Crocker?

Just wanted to say I am very proud to announce a new addition to not only my hunting trips but to my family. My wife and I had a baby boy on 4-27-14. We are extremely happy and I can't wait to show him the great outdoors.

Good ideas guys, thanks for the pics/videos. The reason I would like to build a water hole is because I don't have the time to continually go out and look for new water sources all the time. One or 2 good sources is all I need, and if I have to build it then I just might.

Good job. Thanks for the info. Did you find that the resivor kept the water filled for you, or did you have to haul water in more than you would have liked to?
-
Wow please tell me you where able to harvest one of those bucks

These videos where taken with a point and shoot camera?? Wow that's good footage from 300 yards away... Very cool video. Have you ever used something like a canon t3i? -
Just wanted to put it out there that if anyone would like to help a fellow hunter harvest his first lion, let me know. I would really like to try and harvest a lion this year but figured I would need some help since I don't have dogs. If anyone is willing to help me with either locations of many sightings or using their dogs PM me. Thanks

Devildog18 what kind of dogs do you use to chase mt lions? And how many?

What do these guys typically charge?

Is it possible that they will still hit cc? Or is it already over?

No kill. We'll non that I was able to find at lest. The bear I shot never came back to the water. I had some close encounters with 3 other bears but wasn't able to get a shot off. Over all it was a lot of fun and a lessened learned for me.

Headed out this morning for my archery bear hunt full ofexcitment. Got to the mountain at 5:00am and than hiked in 1.5 miles. When I get to my spot I find another hunter in the ground blind I built. I was a little pissed because I had hiked all that way to find him in there. I talked to him for a while and he said he was going to sit in it all day. So I checked my cameras and looked at the resent bear activity. I told him he can sit the water and ill go somewhere else. All I did was hike about 70 yards to the left on the trail the bears where coming in in lol. So I just planted myself down on a rock in a canyon with no cover. As I was passing the time by playing games on my iPad I heard some leaves russle. I look up behind me and there was a beautiful blonde bear 20 yards. But once I haven't been down there to set up for hunting there was a lot of brush in my way, and so the bear just keep coming straight at me. At about 7 yards I had a clear shot, and as I was squeezing the trigger the bear winded me and jumped up to make an exit. The arrow flew connecting with the bear as he ran off I could see the arrow sticking out of its back hardly any penetration. When I went to squeez he was broad side and in just that small moment it threw the shot off. I went to where he. Was hot and the was ZERO blood! Confused I called some friends and looked for hours. In the end I didn't find any blood at all and no bear. Where do you guys think I hit and do you ink it survived? I am very upset with my self for not being able to find it but I know that's how hunting goes sometimes.

Well I will be out there looking for it. I won't shoot another bear ill just wait for that one to come around. I still would like my brother to get a chance at a bear, so ill leave the rest of the bears for him to choose from.
-
Yeah I had him on the camera plenty of times.
-
I had him broad side but as I squeezed the trigger he spooked, making the bad arrow placement high up towards the spine
-
No it was like above his lungs maybe I hit the spine or some other bone
-
Nice deer what unit was that taken from?
-
if this is your camera PM me. I think you are the same guy who walked infront of my camera back in march. i just would like to know when you plan on hunting that spot that way we dont desterb eachother.

My dog died just 2 weeks ago from licking one of those things. I know it was neither the dos nor the toads fault but I just want to kill ever toad I see now
