Went out today with my brother and nephew for a hike and we stumbled on this little guy. i Jumped him from his bed at 5 ft. must be only days old. Mama was nowhere in sight. Pretty cool seeing these up close like that.

Draw length is 28 weight at 65. It has a very old boxy sight and a v shaped rest. Not sure the name of the rest. It's my brothers bow

Nice bears!! I got a tasco on amazon for $40. Does a good ob but big. I would have to make a custom lock box for it.

Here is an idea. Study your camera pictures very closely, try to figure what direction the deer is coming in from. If he is there before you simply sit the trail that deer is coming from 30-50 yards away from your blind. Thoughts???

Wow that's a nice bear. I've shot a bear calling, and sitting water but never with dogs. Sure would love to try it someday!!

Nice bear. Guess would be boar with the short snout. But like kidso said its very hard to tell by pics.

So here is my 21 1/16 inch bear. My brother just finished bleaching it. A friend of mine gave me the wood mount and here is the finished product. My first thought was to bronze the skull. What do you guys think. Should I leave it the way it is or bronze the skull??

Couestraker check the story in the bear forum I think it's under state record and scroll down to my post. As for the plaque, it was given to him and he didn't need it. But I do know a guy who can make them. Let me know what you need and I can let him know and see if he is interested in making some for you.

Does anyone know the state record for a bear skull?

No cinnamon yet. I heard people have been making camp fires up near by( within 150 yards) and that maybe keeping the bears away. I usually get more bears than this.
