160 gr Nosler Accubond on Elk: Field examples
az41mag replied to ruppart's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
They are a good bullet indeed. I've used the same bullet from my 7 mag to kill elk, deer and antelope. All have been good clean kills, but I've never recovered a bullet yet. My only gripe with them is that I've found (in my opinion), some extreme inconsistencies from lot to lot. It's frustrating because I found myself having tweak the load slightly to get a new lot of bullets to shoot like they should. As a sidenote, I've wised up and now purchase a few hundred at a time when I can get matching lot numbers. -
I'd like to buy it. PM on it's way.

I have an old Frost Blademaster honing kit I still use (not sure if they're even made anymore). Same general idea as the one you have in the picture with different angles for the guide rod and 3 different stones. It's worked well for me over the years. The only modification I did was to attach the handle base to a block of aluminum that I can clamp in my bech vise so it's much more solid. Aside from being plastic, how do you like the one you pictured?

Congrats on a nice buck! Was that a muzzleloading handgun? (couldn't quite tell from the video)

Bathtub works, but I think the laundromat is easier. Using a sleeping bag liner helps keep the bag cleaner too and it's easy to wash the liner in the washing machine at home.

It really dumped some moisture in some areas of the state. We got 3.3" since Saturday at our location in Maricopa.

Another vote for the Scopolamine patches. They work wonders for me. Just put one behind your ear a few hours prior to going on the boat and all is good. The only downside is that they're prescription only so have to go see the doctor first.

For those of you purchasing out of state, is the price difference substantial enough to make the trip worth it?

Do any CWT members do rv rubber roof replacement in the valley, or does anyone have a recommendation for a good service shop in the area? Looking to have the membrane and some sheathing replaced on a 30 ft travel trailer. Thank you in advance.

I've redecked a few in the past, both with pressure treated and regular doug fir from Home Depot. I wasn't able to tell a difference in the lifespan between the two, but I have tried different coatings on the wood after the fact. The old farmers way of diesel and motor oil mixed 50/50 does work, but it's slippery on the deck when wet, it stinks like fuel for a while and the oily residue can transfer to whatever you're hauling- I found out the hard way with some sheetrock. Boiled linseed oil works too, but seemed like it took several weeks for it to dry completely. For most of mine now I try to treat them yearly with some deck stain/ sealer. It seems to help and isn't as messy as the aforementioned. The more frustrating thing to me is how much the boards will shrink as they dry out- leaving gaps between boards that can catch things like moving dolly wheels. Hope that helps.

Feel free to PM me. Happy to sell to whoever needs it, and have approximately 3 squeezes left. We have a scale on site for weights, but you have to hand load your own, (no squeeze here unfortunately).

I've got low grade alfalfa for $180 a ton currently, no mold, just went to full bloom and a little grass in the bales from end of last season. Might be tricky to find at your $5 price point.

It's been several years ago, but Robert's Tire did a couple for me. At the time they had a large alignment rack since they accommodated medium duty trucks too.

Did you want a 3 point mount or pull behind?

Also got mine today. It's a very well made case. Thanks for offering these for sale.

I'd like to buy one. I'll send a PM shortly.

Progressive Reloader for pistol calibers??
az41mag replied to azhuntnut's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
I can't speak about the Hornady model you mentioned or to the other brands out there, but I have a Dillon 550c that I use for bulk pistol loads that I really like. The only issue I have ever had was one of the linkage rods needed to be bent ever so slightly to make it line up correctly. After that it's been smooth as silk. I will say that it took a little time to get everything set up the first time using it, but I think that's more a case of learning and understanding a new machine than difficulty of operation. Good luck in your search. -
Depends on what you're trying to control of course, but I use Demand CS as an exterior treatment around the base of the house for crickets, beetles, etc. It works well and has a long residual effect. Whatever you decide to use be sure to read the label, and apply it in a safe manner.

Just out of curiosity how did you make it, and how much did you drink?

I've converted my muzzleloader to BH209, so no longer need the following: Triple seven pellets, 2 boxes unopened, 2 open boxes half full or better, and box of 30 gr is open but is full. Pyrodex pellets are unopened. All have been stored indoors in air conditioning. $80 obo $40 obo 2 boxes (unopened) Barnes 250 gr t-ez bullets w/ blue sabot, and 1 new box black crush rib sabots. $45 $35 obo Located in Maricopa, can ship bullets on your dime, but pellets will have to be picked up.

Bump for the pellets. Open to offers if someone can use them.
