I boiled those myself. It is pretty easy to do. I soak the head for a day or two, then boil it for four to six hours, scrape off the big parts every two hours or so, then i take it to the car wash and clean them up a bit with the powerwasher...I dont like the really white look so I don't put mine in bleach or anything.

    Coues Rifle: READY!!!

your right, post a better grouping... roughly 1/2 MOA at 400 and 500 yds is not all that good from a bed of a truck shooting table and a hunting rifle Hope you can pack your truck along with you...
  7. What a week...We had five tags in camp and ended up going four for five. We had and awsome time and saw a ton of deer. We hunted nine days in all. One morning we saw twelve bucks from one spot. The big one got away so we can dream about next year... Here is part of the spot where we glassed twelve bucks J.R. and his first coues buck he killed at 430 yards Craig and his first coues buck he killed at 537 yards Here is one of the tewlve bucks we glassed up on Monday morning This is Eli and the buck he killed on Saturday at 515 yards. This is the buck in the photo above Here is a buck Eli glassed up on Thursday morning in the forty mile an hour wind storm Here is the buck in the previous photos. The story isnt that romantic but I got him killed an hour or so after i took the photos above. We saw a little of everything on this hunt, deer, two bobcats and about 45 mules... Now its time to get ready for Mexico!! Congrats to everybody who killed deer this year and good luck to all who have December tags!
  8. Aawww shucks...you would really do that for me?
  9. Oh is that the problem?...You are a geuniss..cuz I thought i was yankin on the trigger or something but apparently its the bullets fault...thanks for all your help
  10. A friend of mine does all my reloading for me but I am shooting a 300RUM 100 grains Hodgdon Retumbo and 180 grain Accubonds. With this load I can shoot a 1/2" group. I ordered a new barrel the other day and it is going to be two inches longer and I am going to switch to the 185 grain Berger so we will see... I also have a 6.5 Lapua which he loads for me 36 grains N-540 and 120 grain Berger. I took it out the other day and shot this group with it. I was pretty happy

    Any luck in "c"

Ditto what COOSEFAN said. But I would also say that it dosent always have to be thick stuff...it dosent take a whole lotta shade to keep one cool dont over look the open shady spots. Pay attention to the wind too. Seems like they like to lay lookin one way while the wind has their back the other way. Personaly I think wind direction is most important, shade can be found under every tree. Bottom line they dont get big by being stupid...come on seriously it is a freakin deer you cant out smart a deer?...JK Good luck
  12. I can't belive how lucky this feller is...
  13. After passing two bucks before the sun came up Dave shot this buck at 7:00am opening morning. He made an extremely tough 100 yard shot after a grueling 5 minute stalk. The buck grosses 82.7" not to shabby for his first antelope!

    Dave's Antelope

A mess is an understatement...I have never seen anything like it. A .300 ultra mag at 100 yards..yikes. It didnt seem like there was that much red in the pictures when we took them. But we can fixem...
  15. I agree 100% POST THEM!
  16. Sorry the pictures aren't to great I had to take them with my phone through my bios...cause I am pretty smart and left the good camera at home...anyway I think you will get the picture (no pun intended)...Enjoy
  17. Sorry to hear about your camera. I would just post their picture on every hunting sight you could find. Somebody is bound to know them. To me that would be humiliating that anything you could do to them physically or whatever you are planning on doing to them. Be careful it is a crazy world and after all it is just a camera...

  20. Picked up my '04 and '05 bucks yesterday...took a while to get them back, but it was worth the wait!
  21. O.K. so here is the deal... I am no mathimatical genius but I was checkin out the hunt draw odds and all that stuff and I noticed this: The 36C carp deer hunt (don't ask why I was lookin at this) 11/3-11/12 - 100 tags avaliable - 405 people applied 1st or 2nd choice and the G$F say the draw odds are 41 PERCENT please tell me how this is freakin' possible...shouldn't it be more like 25 percent? Please tell me everything I learned in kindergarden wasn't a waste of time!
  22. JACK

    Please help...

Red Rabbit is right...the two numbers have nothing to do with one another. My bad
  23. After I got the '05 buck I thought they would look cool together
  24. Thanks for all the compliments...Wildlife Creations mounted them for me. Thanks to Marc, Kurt, and Gabe they did an awsome job and it was dang sure worth the wait...the memories of those hunts will last forever... younghunter--that buck is 17 1/2" outside
  25. JACK
