My amazing hunt - BIG buck - unit 23
dcshorthairs replied to jdub's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
Awesome story. For what its worth, I think my home in heaven will have the wall of heads that you have! Very nice. -
Honestly, I would shoot that bull any day of the week. Far too many times guys get hung up on killing the biggest, highest scoring bull. Hunting is an adventure and the kill is part of it. Way I see it, if God blessed my presence with that boy, he would be on my dinner table. Just my $0.02.

Yes. Just off the lands as well. Retumbo and 168 hunting vlds. I tried accubond but not as accurate. Havent tried eldx with retumbo yet. I was wondering what others are using as their loads. I get good results out to about 500. Then they open up.

Them old bucks look awesome mounted....
-
Justin, what bullet and powder are you seeing the best results with?

If you can find a nice female, I would love to breed my male

I was looking a while back. Utah bird dogs site is almost not used at all now. Have you tried gundogforum?
-
Still have it.... Would make an excellent bow for someone. Archery season is just right around the corner
-
Yep figured that wouldn't take long.

I have this same gun but stainless. I chose to carry mine though. Put a brake on it, new trigger and fluted bolt. Awesome tack driver. Good luck on the sale. Bump for a great gun.

Berger bullets on Coues...

I would venture you would get an easy $200 for it, depending on how fast you want to sell it. There are many people in the bird dog world that might like to have that. Check out www.gundogforum.com and post it up there. Not trying to take away from CWT, but GDF is more suited for this

Berger bullets on Coues...
dcshorthairs replied to AZ_Native's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
So I am going to watch this as well. I shot a mule deer last year with a 7mm rem mag LR 140 grain nosler accubond. It dropped him in his tracks. After shooting some of the Berger 168's, they shoot even more accurate than the nosler. I too am wondering what the impacts will be like at 100, 200, 300 and 400. I have heard that even though these are made for 400+, they will still expand upon impact at closer ranges. Hoping to see some comments on this as well. -
Ttt. Still have it. $280obo

I have one coming in like the 08:41pm buck. Just goes straight out. Antler growth up north is looking good
-
Doug, I too was using PB. Kind of bent about the whole thing too. What are you using now?

The raging waters of Nelson.

If I were you, I would try to sell them at a good price first. There are many people out there running kennels that would jump on these if the price was right. Heck, they might even come and take them down. When we were running our kennel, this would have been very nice to have. You might try putting them on craigslist and see what kind of response you get.

Just wondering if anyone has been hit today. My dad is waiting to see if maybe , just maybe there is still a chance for him. I drew for my wife and I. I am pretty stoked at that

Nice bulls glad to see them this early that big. Got my cameras up last weekend. Seen bunch of horns on mule deer up north.
