What’s a good place to not pay retail on the rtic or Canyon?

This is a great post. I am taking my 6 year old out in a couple weeks on our first javelina hunt. He has been with us on deer hunts, elk hunts and called in a bunch of coyotes. I put in for this hunt only to take him and have a good time--1st time for the both of us. I drew a 23 tag and hoping to seal the deal. Went down last weekend and didn't see any. Hoping opening weekend will be better.

Have an awesome time! My wife and I went to 1mission in October and we had a blast. Tons of hard work, but well worth it. Enjoy the food too. We ate in town one night too and had the best beans and tortillas I have ever had in my life!

Being a firefighter up here in northeastern az, don't count on one single helicopter company to come and get you. We use Guardian Air quite a bit, but we also get Native Air, AeroCare, Sunrise Air Ambulance, and Airevac. I can tell you that in an emergency situation, I just tell my dispatchers to contact the closest helicopter for transport. Looks like a nice plan, but it needs to be more universal to multiple companys, not just one.

First things I would check is that there is no movement with any of the bolts. Tighten them to spec by the manufacturer. Second, I would make sure that when you are shooting the gun is level. I put a level under my scope so that I can see my gun is right where it should be. There are tons of factors and I know the load you are shooting as that was a load my 7mm liked too. Have you tried other loads at that range to see what they do?

Yep, much agreed. I live in this area and people hunt the depredation hunt all year long chasing some of these same herds. Tough hunt for sure

Is the nosler long range just the bullets?

Never have drawn a pig tag until now. Unit 23. Heard good things about this unit. We will see. My 6 year old is stoked. Watched almost every episode of pigman and he is ready to go. Lol

Dang. Wish I would have seen this last weekend. I had two you could have chosen from.

I have a set of the precision rings on my rifle and they feel like they have tighter tolerance than the run of the mill rings. I also have a nightforce mounted with them so I wanted to make sure it holds. In my opinion they are worth the money.

Do you guys know if they make a 100+ quart chest?

Just after I posted my last reply a white Tacoma comes down the road spotlighting. Funny how fast the light turns off when they seen us. I know it's legal without a gun but on the second day of the deer hunt? Going to turn this one in
