Been gone for awhile, finally checked back in and what do you know, this topic is up to 34 pages. 77 pages was my initial guess before you'all wear yourself out or more likely, get distracted by the next laser pointer topic. The belly laughs were great, be back in a few weeks to my giggles..............

Obviously the last two days, I'm bored...........

Oh guides are always pleading the poor case. Doesn't stop them from having ten guys out checking hundreds of cameras months before the hunt.
-
Cameras on water or people sitting tanks paid by guides because trail cams are banned. there will always be either cameras or guides. Here is an idea, how about just banning guides? Sounds like this will eliminate 90% of all the camera issues. If trail cams are banned, guides will just hire enough people to sit all the water tanks and take pictures with their cell cameras. Unless G&F want to ban taking pictures with cell cams too? Now you will just have to deal with paid guides sitting every water hole in the unit.

I rarely check into this web site and every time I do I'm reminded why I don't. Today for some reason I did and low and behold what is the first topic I see, game and fish banning something else. We as hunters are the biggest conservation group in the world however we don't stick together to stop our hunting rights from being infringed. It started a long time ago with banning this or banning that and we as hunters couldn't stick together. There were portions of us who thought "it doesn't effect me so why do I care" and others who said "I don't think people should be allowed to hunt that way". For whatever "reason", we were divided and slowly our rights have been slowly stripped away. I kinda find it funny(and sad) now some of the same people who didn't care in the past are the ones upset by these "new" restrictions on cameras. I have to remind them they were not out spoken before and this is "what they get" for their silence. Now I just sit back and laugh at their outrage. Those of you who think this doesn't effect you, it will some day soon. Some day it will be banning binoculars or spotting scopes with a power greater than 10X or banning rifles which can shoot further than 500 yards or banning range finders. The list can go on and on. Think I'm crazy, that's what people would have said about trail cameras ten years ago. Have fun with your indignant outrage and those of you who think this won't eventually effect you cuz you don't use them anyway, have fun with the next ban coming..........

What? You didn't leave your stuff out there two weeks ago to "save" your spot? JK.... I'm going nuts waiting for Wednesday when I can finally leave. Good Luck!

I have a camera on a water tank which has lots of cow elk coming into it. In June there were probably a calve to almost ever cow. Then I started getting wolves on camera every night. Pictures I'm getting now show a lot less calves. Probably around the 35% ratio.
-
You started it but didn't say anything? Have you seen or heard any bugling? I'm leaving Wednesday to head up and finish my scouting. Think I know what I'm doing opening morning but you know what they say about the best laid plans. Probably will be doing something totally different by opening morning.......

Usually this time of year there are tons of pictures on here of velvet bulls. I finally have a tag and am going nuts waiting for September and NO ONE is helping my anxiety! COME ON POST SOME PICS!

Thats why I only buy$28 tascos from Wal-Mart! Still sucks. Hope karma catches up to him. -
Rattle Snake is a great area. I used to live up there and hunted it. The elk are there you just are not seeing them. Like others have said, focus on learning the area and water sources. You are in the right spot.

I have a few.... I have been staring at these pictures for weeks and want to see more! Can't wait to get back out and check cameras so I have more to look at. Usually people have tons of pictures on here for me to browse through but something is changing. I know I don't like to post pictures on here because I have people trying to figure out where I'm hunting. Maybe others are experiencing the same thing and don't like to post because of it.???? Any hoo, here are some for all of my fellow horn porn addicts. -
I'm looking to purchase a few coues deer capes if anyone has any or knows who might have some for sale. Please PM me

I will take them either way. If tanned, I will pay the obvious tanning cost put into it. I will tan them if untanned. Is dickmans a meat processor?

davehc130 keep whining and crying about trail cameras and I'm sure you will get what you want, which is banning them. Good for you I hope you will finally be happy. One day, game and fish will decide to ban something you enjoy utilizing while you hunt. When this happens, I'm sure you will be on this forum whining and crying again about it not being "fair". "Fair chase" has a very clear definition and you wanting to blur the lines of what is considered fair chase and what isn't is just hurting everyone in the hunting community. If you don't like it, don't do it. Just because someone else does doesn't mean it is against the fair chase mantra. I am really having a hard time even responding to your ignorant dribble due to your profile. Your admitted interest is remodeling you single wide? You sir are more than likely a troll who takes extreme pleasure in stirring the pot. I think I will leave you to your bottle of lotion and box of tissues..................................

Cry me a river, this is why I left this forum for a while. Bunch of whining cry babies always b*itching about something. For hells sake, just go hunting and have fun.

Can't let this thread drop below the fold............

Red Sparky, I hope your right. Or maybe they got caught by someone stealing cameras and have already been taken care of. I checked all of them recently and they are all still there with nothing but elk and deer on them.

Got some great bulls on camera last weekend during a scouting trip. I don't think the drought affect antler growth at all.

Glad to see this topic resurrected

I'm well aware the Cam bandit profile is just a spoof and for satire. However, my statement regarding my cameras not being messed with since posting on this thread is curious. It may just be coincidence but maybe not. There is a lot of satire on this forum and I have been the instigator from time to time.
-
Cam bandit, Funny thing is, you have not tried again. Sure is weird, since this thread started my cameras have not been messed with. I didn't want to think someone on this forum would be a thief but sure has gone quiet around my cameras........

I've had lots of cameras taken over the years but recently it has got out of control. I'm now putting out bait cameras with others hidden better and I'm using cameras which save pictures to a separate device also well hidden. Hope to get the people on camera who are doing it because their face will be plastered all over the internet.
