Anyone using the Trophy Ridge React One Sight?
Becker replied to Big Browns's topic in Bowhunting for Coues Deer
I have been wondering the same. You using the single pin or multi pin? -
Pretty rediculous in my opinion.

There is a Meat processor just to the west of Fredonia. Cant miss the signs. Super nice people. I would imagine that you could take the antlers there and have them freeze them for you over night. Then you would be able to take them anywhere in a day throughout AZ. Probably be worth a call to check that out. Something like that would be my recommendation. There are also a few different taxidermists around there that I am sure would be able to treat them for a small fee before you head home or simply freeze them. One of the biggest factors with velvet to get the best mount possible is to not over handle the antlers. The fine hair gets mashed down every time you touch it. Yes it can be re-brushed out some-what but it never looks the same. Kind of a hands off approach.

In the blue corner we have the scraggly armed to the teeth CWT MEMBERS!!!! In the red corner we have the various Arizona wildlife armed with at least 100 unknown by man senses!!! If your lucky enough to tag out, give us a look for your taxidermy needs! Since archery Antelope is kind of up first here's a pic for ya of some of our work! We would love to put something together for you!!!

All this reminds me of a good friend of mine. He and his friend were helping a guy on an archery hunt. His buddy was videoing the hole thing. In the video you can clearly see my friend, the hunter, and the animal. The hunter draws back his bow, my friend inserts both index fingers into both ears, and the hunter shoots!!!! It is freakin hilarious!!!! Ear protection is a must, even while ARCHERY hunting !!! Hahahaha

Good to know Dale. Last time I questioned this issue which was many many years ago I was told that a warden would have to be present with you. Thanks for the info. And again not trying to insult anyone's intelligence. Just keeping an eye out for my fellow CWT members based on my last known information

Hmmm I never saw that other post that wasn't answered.

As far as I can tell you can only pursue bears and lions with dogs. And a bunch of small game. But I think dogs are a no no when it comes to any big game other than bears and lions. Even if wounded. You are still pursuing them.
-
I would double check with the G and F and make sure it's legal to do that (use dogs to chase wounded game). I thought I remember something about that in the regs. Just FYI I love the idea but don't wanna see anyone get in trouble. If I am wrong my bad but double check

Repairing hiking boot with Mcnett seam grip
Becker replied to CouesWhitetail's topic in Other Hunting Gear
Cool. I will interested to see the results after some wear and tear. Shoe goo always seems to peal right back of my boots. Keep us posted for sure -
Thanks for recommending us 300ultramag! I lost all but one picture of those wolves somehow:( I found one pic off my old cell phone from when I delivered them. I know picture is rough but here they are. Here are some other pics of some different animals just for an idea of our work. Feel free to call or message me, would be more than happy to work with you on your wolf project.

Arrows seem to be angling to the right on target

Don't listen to shedhunteraz. I love whisker biscuits!!!! Hahaha. I have seen too many drop aways fail to use one myself. -
Being 15 to 20 years old they probably are not mountable capes have a shelf life and turn to cottage cheese after being rehydrated when they get old

If your looking for a guide or scouting package type deal it wouldn't be a bad idea to research A3 Trophy Hunts. Formerly Arizona Strip Bucks. Here are some bucks from this year and I know they are holding out on some HUGE ones.
-
Yeah we mounted it but I don't have a pic. Sorry

These are all Mule Deer! Antler configuration has nothing to do with it. Granted a typical mule deer is most commonly thought of as a four point with a fork in the g2 but they can develop anything imaginable. I have seen lots of Coues with a forked G2 as well.

They all are Coues in Arizona!!!

^^^^hahahaha nice

Well If you use a big enough SD card and depending on what quality of picture you want (I usually use 8G cards and 5MP pics for example), the card on my set up will hold about 8000 pictures so you don't have to worry about your extra ones at the beginning
