^^^^^^ Yeah. Seems odd to bash on the people who offered up their opinions after you ask. Forget getting anything else out of me HALF!!!

I bought my wife a pair of nikons. Don't remeber which ones but there were the top of the line nikons at the time in 10x. They were nice but after a couple years of use they started falling apart. Dropped the money and got her some swaros. Still as new as they were when we bought them. Would have actually saved myself money by just buying her the swaros in the first place because now I am out the swaro price plus those nikons.

Just a tip when you get one. Some people put a little piece of a McDonald's straw (1") in the end of the spout. I haven't done it with mine yet but it supposedly keeps your over weights down. Allows the trickle at the end to go one or two kernels of powder at a time. They work just fine out of the box but apparently a ton of guys are doing this. I don't really reload enough where dumping back a couple hurts me but if you are serious about saving some time I guess it would help

Just got myself one. Love it so far......Super EASY!

Yes we killed them both in the 2014 season!

Pima County opposes predator hunt on county lands
Becker replied to gritism's topic in Predator Hunting and Trapping
From what I can tell it's just a convention about predator hunting and like trphyhunter says no actually hunting. Just the people attending might team up and go out on their own terms???? Pretty rediculous protests! -
Have you paper tuned the bow? That always seems to me to the best easiest way to make sure your bow is indeed tuned and shooting arrows straight. Could be a tuning issue. Also could be you torquing the bow. The field tips will recover quickly making it not as noticeable. But with the broad heads might be an issue. Also could be that the broad head/arrow/fletching combo just doesn't like each other. Just off the top of me head thoughts 😀

Pima County opposes predator hunt on county lands
Becker replied to gritism's topic in Predator Hunting and Trapping
I've been seeing this protesting on FB. I wonder what those protesters would think when they see our G and F go gunning coyotes out of planes and choppers????? They really have no idea how prolific coyotes are and how problematic coyotes are on other wildlife! Pretty sad. -
I know, I know..... Good luck. But I'm still looking. Anyone heard anything about availability lately? Anywhere?

trophy ridge trio vs boss hogg, tommy hogg
Becker replied to jgraffaz's topic in Bows, arrows, broadheads
I have the Boss Hogg with a three pin sight. My only complaint with the sight is that it is heavy. But it's built bullet proof. I currently have the pins set up for 20, 30, and 40 yards. Then use the slider option to go out further. Most scenarios for me have needed the close distance pins for shooting quickly. Other wise, past 40 yards I have the time to range and correct the sight. I figure I shouldn't be shooting past 40 yards without knowing the range as that's where for me judging distance starts getting difficult. Another thing I do a little different is I use the center pin as my main pin once moving the slider. This gives me a bracket using the top and bottom pin. Makes it a little easier for me to center the middle pin. I tend to always shoot a little high using the bottom pin at longer distances. And if the animal happens to take a few steps farther or closer I have a five or so yard buffer zone with those two pins giving me something to actually aim with instead of holding a little high or low. Seems like a lot of extra but has worked well for me! -
Nice bucks!!!

I would like to see the actual numbers and be able to compare. Bait vs No Bait. Like you said the bait ban was not scientific or numbers based. Now without mandatory harvest reporting we will never know. Another factor to consider.......Are harvest numbers actually up/down or are we just seeing more pics because of the popularity of public forums. Face Book is unreal these days. I can post a pic of a large deer in my taxidermy shop and have 1000 or more people see it in less than an hour. My Opinion, G and F really needs mandatory reporting on everything. Bottom line. They have no clue whats actually going on. They have a hint but thats just it "a hint". Basing tag numbers on extrapolated harvest data never seemed like a good idea to me. I understand extrapolating population numbers but then not actually knowing how many animals are taken to compare seems absurd. One semi unknown vs an actual number seems better than having two somewhat unknowns right??? As to the archery hunts becoming draw tags, I don't get that idea either. I would rather see a mandatory reporting and have a quota similar to bear hunts. Anyone could go hunt their favorite unit until the quota was met, thus achieving both of their(GandF's) goals. They would still sell lots of tags but could limit the number of deer harvested. I see a draw hunt cramming in too many archery hunters and further complaints equal to what we already have on say the elk hunts. Obviously they(GandF) have a set number of deer they want to see taken. Doesn't seem that hard to make that happen without removing people out of the game right off the bat. RIGHT? I also can't argue against archery hunters being way better these days than say even ten years ago. The technology is so great anymore. But that doesn't make a difference to me. Trying to figure out how to limit the numbers taken is where the fault and problems come into play. There are better ways to limit success than cram more and more people into a unit/or limit hunters on technology IMO. If we want to go the less technology route we should all be hunting with a spear with a sharp rock on the end of it. 1000 yard guns, 100 yard bows, WHO CARES, lets decide on how many animals we want killed and dictate that, not manage the guys who invest in the techno side. If you wanna use an old muzzy vs the new good for you, go for it. I prefer my technology though. If you wanna sit over bait or spot and spook, go for it.

Just curious but do you guys not look at the work hanging in the guys place before hand? Someone even mentioned a bunch of bad pics floating around FB? What you see is generally what you get. In one aspect yeah it's bad to get that bad work but it's IMO just as bad that the animal was left with the individual in the first place if everything mentioned previously is true????? I get the original poster with winning something free at a raffle but not the other guys who have dropped animals off with the guy!?!?!?

Birds IMO are a completely different form of taxidermy. They really are their own field. Same with fish. Most shops that I know, mine included either sub them out to a bird guy, or (like myself) refer them straight to a bird guy.
