Would like to sell but consider trade for firearm bino or scope. These are near $1000 new but drop like a stone and value used is $300. This is like new always inside and perfect shape. Has pull down bar leg extension set up. Strap for squat and calf work. You can do lots of exercises or just hang laundry on it like I did Has 210lbs but can be upgraded. I could deliver but would most likely charge $50 or so unless you live next door Time to get fit for humping out that elk quarter

Yes. Sorry not sure i made that clear. I should say trade value $300, and cash can be best offer

I know these questions generate mixed responses but they are fun and i know there are some folks on this site with good knowledge of product So.. Is there a clear winner or simply all to close to compare between the following scopes to be used in a hunting application. Shots at 500yards and below on a non magnum rifle I have found all of these three new or demo (thx cameralandny and swfa) At or around $400 to $450 What's the pros and cons or best option out of Vortex Viper hs 4x16x44 30 mm tube Minox za5 hd 3x15x42 sf one inch tube Nikon monarch 3 sf 4.5x16x42 one inch tube Thanks for opinions if you own a couple of these that be great to hear what you think

Well I went with the Vortex Viper hs. I have to admit that in the store the monarch 3 seemed every bit as bright if not more. I just couldn't get comfy with BDC circles. I didn't do minox because I can't get my hands on one first but I think from research the new series is dang good glass they just may be surrounded by poor construction In the end the vortex warranty and company just provided lots of comfort. Not sure I'm thrilled with 30 mm tube but oh well How do you know what height rings on a standard barrel rifle? Low I would hope Great post advice. Really appreciate this website

This is a take off from a Savage combo Has the BDC reticle In perfect shape Nice clear little scope. I'm not a fan of the nikon circle reticle so is like to sell it Its been on a 223 and shot at the range I dont know if its the same as a prostaff but I've been told that One tube Will trade for a Kimber 1911. Ha kidding No trades Its on the rifle so pics can be sent later but it looks just like any nikon prostaff 3x9x40

I understand this level Minox uses Schott glass same company as zeiss No love for Minox? I think the safe bet is Vortex but I would really like to see the minox side by side in low light

So does anyone have maps or online map systems that list more springs than others? Or are their old books that document springs? I'm sure just beating feet and looking for green cottonwoods or sycamore trees is proven. Just lookin for some technology to get me started
-
Ttt. Or trade for whatever

Used Weatherby vanguard stock. It's the factory stock. I've heard made by Hogue but I don't know of that's true for sure. Excellent recoil pad. Has swivel stud and Monte Carlo cheek swell. For a long action standard barrel Good condition no big scratches or issues. $30 for the stock Factory tigger. Works fine. This is not a two stage trigger $20 Or $40 for both

Ok so beyond the obvious green tree signs or cuts in a mtn that would show erosion any other geological signs that you look for?

Ok so beating feet sounds best.

What is the most efficient way to learn a new unit?
apache12 replied to SHeap's topic in Rifle hunting for Coues Deer
Desert bull on the site sells nice topo maps that give a few areas to glass. I usually start there and sometimes end up finding other spots I like in the area. But for $30 bucks it's a good way to start and he is excellent to work with -
let me stick my neck wwwaaayyy out here...

Go to NM. Tags are hard enough to pull for AZ residents. -
which pack is the best all around for hunting?
apache12 replied to Coues Kid's topic in Other Hunting Gear
Eberlestock X2. Big enough to carry elk quarters. Light enough for day pack. Excellent quality. Can add a scabbard for hands free hiking -

Yesterday at the range I noticed how my point of impact changed greatly based on how firm I held the rifle. My windage never changed and my groups stayed tight but there was a three inch difference in point of impact based on if I held the fore stock very tight and didn't let it jump or when I didn't hold it at all but would cross my left hand (non trigger hand) back onto there rear stock for a bench rest type of hold So is there a right way or wrong way? I'm thinking about hunting situations and how I would lay prone with my rifle on my pack. In that case I think the rifle would tend to jump higher than if I was seated and shooting of my tripod and holding the rifle down firmer against the tripod Anyway. I would enjoy the forums feedback or advice. Also the rifle is not free floated but it does have a quality stock with aluminum bed and a quality Timney trigger. I may free float later

Thank you. For the info on the shoot. Would i be able to have someone review my shooting and offer assistance?

Very lightly used savage rim fire 17hmr. Laminate stock and stainless steal bull barrel. Shoot clovers at 100 yards. Has a Burris fullfield ii 3x9x40 scope with ballistic drop reticle. Less than 100 rounds through it. Not one scratch. Scope has light scratch on metal housing but glass is perfect $400
