SOLD>>>Tikka T3 stainless, 270 Win, Minox scope
apache12 replied to Radman's topic in Classified Ads
Good seller. Firearms well taken care. And these scopes are very nice in my opinion. Buy with confidence. I was with him when it took a long shot on a cow elk with this rig. Well placed shot -
So after years of watching me our our boys hunt my wife finally agreed to get behind the trigger. She’s not afraid to shoot, she’s actually a great shot, she just wasn’t ready to put the crosshairs on an animal. anyway she has a cow elk tag this fall and we will likely do some hiking so I’m kinda set on the Savage Ultra light with the proof research barrel 5.8lb. Gets nice review. And while kinda ugly the Savage I have owned shoot well. Ok she’s also a lefty and we tried her shooting my right handed rifles and it was just a bit awkward. I was leaning toward 6.5 prc because of the recoil and the slightly better energy over the 6.5 creed. . Then I tried to find ammo. Uh not paying $5.00 a round. I’m not reloading anymore either sold my gear. the Ultralight is threaded for a brake. I don’t have any rifles with a brake. So I thought maybe I’d choose an ammo easier to find in a bigger caliber to give her some room for shot placement. The rifles comes in 308 270 28 Nos 280 AI 30-06 300 wsm 6.5 creed 6.5 prc Hope to keep the shot under 400 yards. So couple questions will threading a brake on effect accuracy? if we zero and practice with the brake and remove it for hunting will POI change? I suppose I can find that out myself after zero with brake but curious what long range hunters think any recommended screw on brakes? as always thanks for any tips or advice she might be able handle a 270 without a brake but if she gets flinchy I want to be able to put a brake on

Brake and Accuracy. I know age old question
apache12 replied to apache12's topic in Long Range Shooting
So any brake recommendations? This barrel is fairly light any recommendations on brakes that won’t tip the balance of the rifle -
Good luck finding one. I’ve been in the market for a couple months. Be prepared for $2500 freight charge and $1500 build charges at places like ride now or Go Az. I agree Western is good people but the have the least inventory.

SOLD Custom 2018 Honda Pioneer 1000 Deluxe Red/Black (Price Drop again)
apache12 replied to peasty69's topic in Classified Ads
I’m in the market for a SxS and while I like Honda as a product. I keep going back and forth on the Pioneer’s design. Part of me likes that’s it’s smaller than a normal four seater but then I’ll get hung up with the lack of storage space when all seats are up. I'm mostly interested in a hunting rig but want good off road capabilities. I don’t normally deer hunt with four people but elk hunts can be four easily. I also want to use it with a dog box in back for quail and that would mean max three people how has this been as a hunting rig. If you have four people in it where do you put the game bags? oh it’s a great set up by the way super impressive -
My son now lives in NV and they have a pretty unique tag turn back program. I won’t bore with the details but he was able to grab this late season bull tag. Filled his first bull tag while I was in route to help on the hunt. By the time I got there he had capped and quartered the bull by himself and humped the head and cape off the mountain. Happy to know I taught him a bit. Anyway even though all I go to help with was the meat haul it was a good hike and I couldn’t be happier for him

Stinger was my first bow many years ago and I passed it to my son two years ago. He recently made it his back up bow. For anyone looking these are great shootings Very forgiving easy to adjust and plenty of speed. You won’t be disappointed

I bought these online and use them for one scouting trip. Basically new and not broke in. They don’t fit my feet. They are 12’s but in my opinion a small 12. Might be better if you were an 11.5. Also the tow box is pretty narrow and that doesn’t work for my Fred Flinstone feet. they are a stiff boot and pretty nice on loose rocks. Also can be used as a mountaineering boot see description. Looking to get $150 for them. I’m in north Phoenix

So i had the pleasure of hunting with my two older boys for the first time in 7 years. Both were competitive swimmers and missed most hunting seasons due to trips and then college. So after a long absence we hit the southern hills for a coues hunt. Glasses up two shooter bucks first morning and they slipped us on three different stalks the first two days. Great hunting though we were having a blast but starting to think these bucks had us beat. Third morning the wind was howling and everything seemed bedded out of the wind. We flipped to a side of the canyon that we thought would block the wind and just before 10am we caught them moving to beds. After some leap frogging to keep them in the glass and move to a shooting spot. The best we could do was 420yrds and we couldn’t get low enough to get out of the wind that was swirling around the top of the ridge line. My oldest got set up and we waited for a couple hours hoping it would stand up. During the time we went back and forth on the two bucks. One a classic 3x3. Most likely 85-90 so good solid buck. But we could get away from the old 2x2 with him. He was unique with great mass and tall. Big body and we just couldn’t pass on him. Yea the 3x3 would score better and look good but this old deer had to be taken. Finally we said let’s take him in his bed if you fell good. I know my son felt confident with his old 30-06. Not the perfect Coues rifle but he trust it and it shoots great. He didn’t have a BT so we were working out the drop at 420 and one of his reticle hash marks lined up good. So he went hot and let it fly. Deer came busting out. Shot was high. He found it again on the run up the to the top and fired an ill advised shot missing Unlike most coues I’ve hunted this buck granted him one last perfect broadside at the top. Reset he fired and the buck went ten feet into a prickly pear and folded up. Ranged 465. Double lung. Side note. Using new Sierra Gamechanger bullets. Went through and blew half a lung out a hole about the size of a quarter. Minimal internal damage. Nice bullet in the wind for sure. Couldn’t have had a better hunt with my two oldest boys after a long gap in the field. Enjoy the pics

I have an old set of Minox 10x50 Br Bd that had eye cup issues. I sent them back to Minox. Now Blaser and they didn’t have replacement parts so they sent them back and gave me the option to buy these 10x44 at a fair deal. So I did. Anyway I’m more of a fan of 8’s for my hand helds and I got the 10x50 fixed elsewhere so I thought I’d post these. They have never been in the field. Everything is included that they came with. They are nice glass. I’ve messed with them at low light at home and they are nice quality. Also light and compact for 10’s. The 44 gives you a bit more field of view. These sell new online from $475 to $490. Selling these for $375. I’m in Phoenix. I’d ship in your dime.

so it’s posted on Craigslist for $11,900. Looking to get $11.500. This was my sons car and he was in school in NV so most miles are highway. As the post say it was serviced every 5000 I did all recommend maintenance. there are some stains on the seats. And some very small hand prints on the hood when his friend fell on the hood. Not good Detroit steel. Runs perfect. Tires have a year or so left it’s a Toyota and will run another 200k. Currently has 94k miles https://phoenix.craigslist.org/nph/cto/d/scottsdale-2014-toyota-corolla/7349214714.html 2014 Toyota Corolla Sport model. Second owner we have owned it since 2015. Serviced every 5000 miles at Toyo Motors. We have all service records. Minor seat stains and normal paint chips and scratches. All switches and buttons work. Never smoked in. No accidents Clean title in hand
