Man TJ, kick a guy when he's down! I had to eat my unit 10 rifle tag this year because of my left knee. I turned my MCL into spaghetti at work and my knee cap was moving about two inches to the outside of my leg! I tried to walk but with a total leg brace (Forest Gump 2.0!) there was no way as anything but flat had me falling. Good job!

If you don't like quads coming by where you are hunting, then get off the roads further. Personally, I would rather tear the shoot out of my $9K ATV instead of my $60K truck. For those who strictly drive the roads, good luck! I hate driving a truck down a semi rough road, knocks your fillings out every time no matter how slow you go. I took my old 1953 jeep (and later 1942 GPW) out one week and it was worse than being in a truck. Use them to get from point A to point B and nothing else. This comes up every year as people try to grasp at straws about why they didn't tag out. If you see one crossing a meadow, get the tag with your uber binos and call it in. You see a guy blazing a new trail, use those uber binos and call it in too. Just an FYI, that "FAT GUY ON ATV ON COLEMAN LAKE ROAD DRIVING AROUND STANDING UP" (not that anyone has said that one yet) was me with a blown out left knee who couldn't sit down, and being in a truck that hit any bump would knock my patella out of position!

Seems like around this time a lot of walmarts start selling off their "hunting" gear (those that stock it to begin with). I remember always snagging a new target from the one in payson while heading up to elk camp for about half the price!

I think most of the rim is a PITA with camping spot fees and other BS like max camp size etc it seems. I personally like going up towards Happy Jack. Its more laid back and no one out there to bother you as you play. Just my $.02

Amanda, some of the products are showing the wrong product when added to the cart. I know the meal replacement, some of the bars, and the lean are showing up as the hat in your shopping cart.

Harbor Freight sells canvas drop cloths for pretty cheap. And they are thick enough that I made a bed roll out of them, sewed some fasteners to it and it's held up amazingly well.

Friends and family mostly (oh, the guy who picks the tickets out of the spinning canister too! jk ) I'm thinking about trying up North this year for my deer hunt instead of going down South like I have been doing. Some of my co-workers like to hunt up there and I tagged along last year to their drinking party and was a little let down. I saw lots of deer on the way in, and out but they'd get up at eight, have a breakfast head out for a couple hours, and be back by noon. Then leave again around three or four and come back before dark. Since I didn't have a tag I just sat around camp waiting for the radio call to come pack something out, but with techniques like that I mostly sat around drinking!

I printed mine out yesterday, BUT made the mistake of only doing it single sided. About an hour later and 130 some odd pages later.... I have a GIANT book! Luckily I've killed more trees with arrows than this book has.

There is also a program for the droid that allows you to download parts of the topo maps to your phone for use when you can't get signal. There is a two week demo and the program is about ten bucks I believe. I played with the demo for a little while last week.

Just make sure you degrease what ever you are going to paint, that stuff is a little less forgiving than Krylon also. I did my 590 action in it, looks great. But for camo, I've gotten the best look when I don't really care how it turns out and just go for it. Not very helpful advice I guess, but everytime I try to plan the pattern out it comes out a mess. My 700 play gun is done up in a wana be digital camo pattern that I literally did in five minutes. I'll post some photos later.

I took me a couple days to see the bass pro sign. I'm just getting on the 10, and usually still checking behind me while merging when that sign passes.
