Ooh, your going to have a great hunt in 5B South. Have you been up there latrly? There are some big bulls running around. Drive around the Kinikinik lake road at around 20:00 with a spot light and see for yourself! My dad drew a 6A Bull Muzzleloader tag, and I drew anothe 32 Coues tag.

This isn't 32 is it? I swear I shot my coues right in between those rocks, and that stick tree last year.

I don't know how you guys keep getting these huge bulls!?! I was more than happy seeing my bull grow up this year, and wouldn't think twice about shooting him, but I didn't get drawn Keep them coming!

I like Mark In Mesa. He's a great guy, and doesn't mind (or atleast doesn't let it be knows he doesn't) helping a new guy out with some easy skinning tips to make both the hunter's and his job easier. He will always get my animals.

So, are you going to auction off the location of that huge bull now? Or wait until next year like I plan on doing.

I just found out that my dad drew a 6A M.L. Bull tag. I'll be helping him I guess. I still wish I could go, what are the chances that there is a 5B tag left over?

Well I hope my bull lives another year. I didn't get drawn for Elk, but got a tag in 32 for coues!

I do the same thing, I start with the showering kit about a week before the season starts, and follow up each day with another one. (Ice cold water wakes you up at 0300 very fast!) The problem with the scent lock is their "forget the wind, just hunt" additude. I don't care if you have every piece of odor eliminator on the market on, along with ten different cover scents. You still need to keep the wind in your favor while hunting. They make it sound like you can be upwind of a monster buck, and just keep walking towards him until you can slit his throat with your blade.

I don't have a life. It seems like my entire day is spent doing a circle to about six or seven different forums, this being one of them.

I have thought about that. I ussually try to keep mine in thick brush to help hide it, but I also like the thick stuff to go to the bathroom.

I was talking to a GFD officer this weekend up in 6A, and asked when they are supose to be out. His reply? "Oh, they arn't out yet?" He then gave me a little smile, and pulled away.

Well, after two weeks I got one photo of "my" bull, Any of you guys (gals?) hunting 5B better leave this bull alone... he's spoken for.

We think we have found Dillion Precision's personal shooting range. It was way out in the middle of nowhere. Tons of brass, mostly .223, and .45. A few of the dueling trees, and a large wooden table. We're talking a good 2 miles from a road. Of course D.P. does have a chopper.

It might have been Idaho, that's where I heard about it, but when I asked an old timer up in the Forest Lakes area he swore that it was up near Chevlon. Oh well, that's what I get fo listening to some punk old man.

well wouldn't it be "new" each time you put it on? I still think anyone who bought their sales pitch hook line and sinker is a 100% sucker. Nothing is going to make a bowhunter 100% smell free.

To tell you the truth it scares me too. I thought it was cool at first, I even put it as my background. But after I walked into my dark room with that picture on my bed a couple of times I went back to the large buck.

So where are we now? Throwing scent lock suits away, rolling in dirt, and letting kids pee on us? Yeah, that's about right. But on the same subject, when I was about eight or nine I was "hunting" with my dad. We stopped, and layed down when a herd came over a hill towards us. I layed down on my back, with my head resting on a log, and my dad hid behind the other side of the log. The next thing we knew there was a cow elk smelling my shoe. I opened my eys all the way up, and it never seemed to bother her at all. She then just walked away. When my dad tried to get a shot off, the herd spooked, but that made the whole trip. Also, does anyone remember a long time ago the young boy who got lost between Woods Canyon, and Chevlon Lake? For those who don't a little boy got lost while camping up there. He was found a few days later, and kept saying that "santa's reindeer took care of him." He slept where, and when the "reindeer" slept, and ate what they ate. Besides being a little bumped, and bruised he was fine. No one knew what the heck he was talking about until they showed him a picture of a Bull Elk, and he said that it was one of the reindeer that took care of him.

That's too bad. You'll get him next time! I also was skunked this past weekend. I left my camera up north for two weeks, when I got to it, it had only taken six pictures. I also noticed a lot of quad and truck tracks up and down the road. The only problem is that this particular road is strictly off limits to any motor vehicles.

well in the next couple of weeks we *should* be reaching the 112-115 marks for atleast 4-7 days, so I would say very soon. And it would be perfect up north, most of that grass is starting to look a little yellow.

I sure hope they come out soon, and hope I get drawn for something! I have been scouting all year, and am about to go stir crazy seeing all these bulls.
