Thanks for the heads up David, you might be putting it to the test up north. Have you been getting hit hard with rain too over the last few weekends? Last weeked I had a nice two mile run on the quads agaist hail. -Kenny

I have no idea where I'm going to be. My tires are just about shot, and I'm already running my spare because the now flat tire can not be fixed. I might be waiting here to see who saw what, or I'll be up north.

I also own two Sony Handycams. These just record to the little Hi-8 tapes though. I can transfer the video to my computer very easily, and the quality doesn't suffer at all. I think my little camera were around $300 too, but I got it as a second hand camera from Best Buy so I only paid something like $225. If you can find a deal like that at a Best Buy near you, GET IT! The tests they put their returned electronics through is amazing, and only the ones that check out 100% are resold. Plus the deal for mine was I got the camera, three tapes an extra battery, and a case for it all for cheaper than what just the camera sold for originally. One of mine (one is "newer" with better features than the other one) has a really cool feature that I don't recall seeing on most cameras is it can act like a digital camera too! You just buy a memory card, put it in the camera, and while you are taking video you just push another button to capture a photo. I really like that too.

I used one for a hunt a couple years ago, but I used it on the HAM javilina hunt. I think they are just too darn heavy to carry around.

ARIZONA GUIDE, I'm glad you posted this, as I was going to, but thought I would catch a harsh recourse for being a "newer" member. I carry my 1911 on my person anytime I'm out in the feild by myself. It's ussually in my backpack, and stays there until I feel I may need it. As long as there isn't a reason to suspect you have been using a pistol on your archery hunt, the GFD will leave you alone.

Hey, you're right there have been a couple of them dead along the roads up north.

Rembrant brought a good point, who else has lost their '05 regs? I have over eight 03-04 books, but noe one 05. And when I went to get one, there were no more. I would think that it needs to be on the animal while in the feild. I would consider being transported as being in the feild too, until it got to it's destination.

Our family owns Bass Drywall LLC. We do mostly work down in Arizona City, Elloy, Maracopa Etc. But can also do work just about anywhere. P.M. For help, tips, or if you need work done! P.S. If any of you know people who do drywall (hangers, and tapers) and are willing to go to the places mentioned above, please give us their number!!!!!

I leave my 1911A1 in the camp. I don't hunt high trafic area that would be dangerous in my mind. If I had my choice I would pick a rifle with a large magizine over a pistol, but mostly because I don't feel 100% confident with a pistol yet.

Yeah right, we know you are mad at us. That's too bad about your camera.

BowhuntCoues, good luck killing the deer in the first photo!! That thing is possessed! -
Where are you guy's getting those bumber stickers!?! I had to have mine made. I then had to go have the "United States Outfitters" text made up later. You see I have a military jeep that I take to shows. It just wasn't making sence to people why I was mad at the people who entertain our troops.

Wow, those are some clear photos. I might have to go check those out later on. -
She probably had a great story when she got home, about how she ran the coyote to death.

That picture of the quail in the air is classic. I also like the "discovery" pic with the pup walking up behind the bird, great camera work!

Whats Up with this. Left over tags
BASS replied to DCMHunter's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
The computer was nice, but it was too nice. There were many times we were trying to put in our apps about 30 min before they were due. It is nice to be able to do that, but if it wasn't there we would have been one less group trying to get "your tags." Not to mention all of the out of staters that can do the same thing that we did. If they missed the post mark date, and still had their apps, they could just log in, and put in for the draw. Where now they would miss it all together. The GFD is still letting you know if something on the app isn't right, but you have to have your apps in by a certain date to know or not. -
DEERSLAM, I think the first pack in this thread is what you are looking for. If I was going to hunt like that, that is the pack I would choose.

I think I might just do that, thanks for the heads up. I like the 2200 but just think it's too big for the hunting I do. I also like their waranty on their packs. For those with day packs, try to use a fannypack with those too. I carry my calls, scents, and a few archery items in it. That way I can ditch my pack, and still have items that I will need.
-
Is that the one who was stomping the hunter? That video had me wondering if I should use calls or not. I have no idea what I'm saying when I blow those calls, and who's momma I'm talking about.

Was there a follow up on this? It has almost been a year, and I havn't heard anything else on the subject.

What should we use to clean the shafts?
-
Very well put Rembrant. I love this place, we are one big family. Can I borrow $20?
-
That does look like a really neat pack. I wonder how well it holds a bow though, as it seems like they are focusing more on the rifles, with only a couple pictures of bows on them. Either way it would be nice to have the gear you need in there, and not have to leave it back at camp because you need the room for something else.
