Large ears help to rid the body of heat, as well as acting like large satellite dishes when focusing on a sound. I don't see anything wrong with calling them Carp. I always thought it refered to where they lived, lower areas compared to the Coues that like to see how high they can get on a hill.

So it IS okay to pee in the public pools! Those pictures are amazing! I can't wait to throw my cam up in the desert this year.

eh, born and raised here, and I have no plans on leaving either. Thanks for the heads up though, I have always wanted to chase some game over there.
-
Hey, Happy Birthday! I hope you bag a huge bull!
-
You couldn't have picked a better group! Congrats guys.

Is bear still open while other big game hunts are going on?

A lot of Kali. guys were talking about it earlier at an online chat. Was it just a test?

Oh yeah it is. I had my first dog pass away two years ago while the family was out at the lake. We knew something bad had happened because Charlie (Our only lab at the time) went from his ball crazy self, to a complete zombie. He wouldn't play, and wasn't swimming like he had for the past few days. Even after we got home and found out our little dog had passed, Charlie would hang out by himself. We actually had to get another puppy so he would snap out of it. You do have to remember that you gave that dog the best life any of them could have ever had! She must have had so much fun walking around with you out there, a much better life than being tied up to a stake in the middle of a dirt yard. You did your job the best it could have been done. They are put here to show us how to love and care and make others happy. They do it so well that they don't need to be here as long as we do, but you will see her again.

Thanks Ernesto!

I do think that one can't hunt archery deer while another hunt is going on, but I was confused with the bear regs. Somewhere on the G&F website it mentions that regulation, but I couldn't find if it had been removed or not. Thanks

I'm so sorry to hear that. It's hard to loose a dog, especially if it's one of a kind. At my vet, when ever they have to put a dog down they give the owner this....

Now that I'm home I can see your pics. GREAT BULL! He is really wide between each tine isn't he!
-
I'm in class right now, so I can't see the pictures. But for now I will congratulate you over a great hunt!

That's what I was going to say about the broken tines. One of the guys that our company does work for also shot a large bull (353 1/4 I think) but when he found him he noticed that he had some broken points. To say the least he was mad he shot a "broken elk." Some people just will never be happy.

370 1/2!?! WOW Are you going to have the taxidermist try and rebuild the broken tines? What is the normal shrinkage after the 60 days?

I'VE BEEN ROBBED!!!

If they wanted to get a truck through a locked gate, or get inside of a barn, bolt cutter would be the first thing I would bring if I planned on doing either one of those. -

Congrats on a double! Is that the large badlands pack? How do you like the large opening top? I just bought the 2200 last week. -
I too have only seen one. It was out near the river near Florance. We were messing around of the railroad tracks, and it crawled across the road. It was something I will never forget.
-
I think I'll hang the weedeater out front for all to see.
-
Do they have company trucks? That would a death warrant out here I would think, or a good way to get a nice key mark down the side.
-
I'm guessing Caswells no longer does one? That is where I took mine, and this was when they switched from a hunting store over into a gun shop. if not, I found this for you http://www.chandlerrodandgunclub.com/hunte...education.shtml They just had one, but they may be gearing up for another one. You might want to give them a call. HTH

If you don't mind me asking, what brought this up? Also, I was told that this year a bunch of their clients thought they were being put in for the Ultimate Az hunt, but they just about all got the Metropolitan hunts, "their" first choice. Can you imagine that? Paying hundreds of dollars only to hunt in someone's back yard.

What kind of mount are going to have done?
