Great job! I can't wait to see the photos!
-
Nope, we struck out. My dad had a 6a muzzy tag. We saw one bull with a missing right side the whole weekend. On Friday, we got out there early, and started glassing, but then the rains came, and chased us back to camp where it then snowed on us. We did help a guy get his cow out Sunday night, that was fun.

I too heard it was along the San Tans. I also heard that it was going after his neighbor's horse, until the bird owners mastiff chased it away.

Great job David! I can't shoot anything larger than 222" other wise it won't fit! *Atleast....that's my excuse. -Kenny "Bass"

I'll join in here, and say that is a great deer. It was also neat to meet you in person out there in the middle of nowhere. I hunted those hills you told us about this morning from about 0700 until about 1220 and could see deer the entire time. But I couldn't put any horns on them. I then headed back up that huge hill we came off of Wed. night (with some La Casita #5's to go) and saw one lone buck with a couple doe. We watched them for three hours, but they wouldn't move. In the last shooting light I put one about 50 yards behind the bush they were laying in, but they didn't even look over there. I had a blast, and can't wait til December!

It's hunting season! All of the hunting sites have slowed way down a lot, and have switched to political or nothing at all. It will clear up later.

CouesWhitetail.com Stickers!
BASS replied to CouesWhitetail's topic in Miscellaneous Items related to Coues Deer
Thanks again Amanda! I just got mine today! I was a little scared when the post man made me sign for a large white envelope, but when I saw the sticker I rushed to open it. Now I HAVE to wash my truck. -
Did you happen to see the large red Silverado with the Pisson USO sticker that was stuck? Yep that was me! I got up there Wed. after noon, and couldn't find a spot to set up a tent anywhere. On Thursday afternoon I woke up from my nap to two dogs in my tent! Some idiot had camped next to my truck! I then thought about what I was doing very hard, I didn't have a tag, I was just helping, so I loaded up and went to 6A to scout for my dads hunt next month.

I'm trying to get one right now too.I'm going to put mine on the front of my truck on the top of my windshield. That way, next time I have a flat, someone may stop -
Do any of you guys have a map that show if there is infact private property along Anderson Draw/Anderson Tank? I hunted the draw last year, and put a camera up there over the summer and there didn't seem to be any houses, or signs saying so. So I told a buddy where to go and he came back saying there were now three houses there, and the gate to the draw was locked up with pivate property signs. I hiked all over there and never saw any houses, or signs, just Elk. So, do any of you have maps that show this, or know if it is private property? How about a number to call to get permission? Many Thanks, Kenny

Maybe "dam" was the wrong word to use. It's more of a large rocky wall that diverts the water if I remember right. A little ways East of the ranch in question.

I'll give him a 108-ish score. Nice shooter. -
Yeah, they have all crossed the river, and now live near the dam. As for the javilina, just drive slow

If I remember right there is a road that goes up the North side just about half way. If I can find that road again, I should be able to get these guys an elk (or three ) They all have cow tags, so I'm hoping for an easier hunt. I'm going to try and sneak away tomorrow morning to get up there to find out what is closed and what isn't before they get there Thursday. I'll be in the redish orange Silverado with the USO sticker on the back window, if any of you see it, and have time, stop by and chew some fat.
