I was up their labor day, and the forest service is doing a great job, the armstrong got put out monday by rain. it's mostly underbrush burning, and spot controlled.

I would find water, and look for tracks, then spend your time coming up with a game plan! Good luck, my wife has a turkey tag in 9, we plan on sitting some tanks!

That's archery for you! I missed shots at monster deer, and killed small bucks. you want to give up, like me one time. I was asking myself what am I doing, I could be home watching tv, and spending time with my family, but then when you least expect it, you here like your arrow hitting a log, but it wasn't. It was your arrow smacking the deer, then at that moment, you are glad you didn't give up.

I totaly agree with you, it depends on the hunter, but, ha no way the bulls you have killed are rag horns! I have killed a 3x3 and that I would say is a rag horn.

MY wife got a tag for unit 9 Bull Muzzleloader, this is her first elk hunt. We have never hunted unit 9. I have already got a map and plan on going up on Memorial Day to start checking some of the area out. We were thinking blind hunting over water any ideas? Any info would be great thanks!
