We were about 20-30 or so miles off the coast and south, about ensenada, and even further south than that. Thursday afternoon, all Thursday night, all day Friday, and until early evening Friday we were into them. At one point there were no less than 20 boats in the same area. Captain said we chased them 66 miles south overnight Friday night. Said hes never seen that before. Seas got super rough overnight and all day Saturday. We spent that entire time headed back north. I think we dropped lines only twice from midnight Friday night/Saturday morning until we anchored about 3am Saturday in the harbor. BFT only, never really fished for anything else.

Trip was decent. 28 total blue fin in 3 days. Half the trip was fishable, other half was a glorified, expensive boat ride. 11 in our group didn’t catch many. Other group on the boat managed to do better, despite being know it all douchebags.

I’ve thought about it. But the whole point was to be more portable. I have a Camp Chef two burner with a griddle that is amazing. It cooks some of the best meals I’ve ever had.

Maybe not specifically a hunting item, but one I take to hunting camp; Blackstone, two burner, table top griddle. Unevenly heats and goes through 1lb tanks faster than anything I've seen before. Can only cook one basic meal per tank.

Enough people will piss and moan about it, the deadline will be extended.

I put DNZ on my daughter's rifle, great setup. Just ordered another that will be delivered today for my new rifle. On sale on Amazon right now. Can't go wrong with DNZ.

I'm sure there will be several of us that end up being "that guy" for various reasons on this trip. But it won't be so bad since the boat will be full of our party anyways.

That's why I always find it comical when people continuously bitch about G&F being "late" with results, based on everybody's timeline they think it should happen in. They don't have to provide anything until the tag mailout deadline. Everything before that is just a convenience. Does it make it nice when they can provide results soon after credit cards are charged, absolutely. Is it something people have come to expect, of course, myself included.

Tag numbers that aren't typically shown prior to draw results disappeared? Oh no, the sky is falling and everybody who thought they drew, didn't. Why does everybody freak out with crap like this? If you have a charge on your card, results come out and it doesn't show anything, then it's a problem.

I'll add another vote for Tikka. Got my daughter a t3x lite compact in 7-08. Fits her perfect. Put a Leupold VX 3 on it and its perfect for her. Great gun for the price.
