Great job!

I have yet to figure out what to put in to thicken it up, but we don't really need it thick anyway. Try Pectin that is what we use when my wife and I make jellies and jams. To make syrup just double the liquid to Pectin ratio.

Yes, if the weak side matched the strong side he would be around 118". It seems strange to me that most bucks that have a weak side seems to be their right side. That's because Lefties RULE! -
If I am lucky! The pink Chupacobra?

Thank you all for the kind words, it has been a long road and I finally see the light at the end of the tunnel.

I would start at the lower load for that round and powder. Load like five rounds increasing the charge by half grain increments until you reach the max load. If your gun likes the round you will get a good group from one of the loads.

I guided two of my buddies in on their bucks one at 115 yards and the other at 305. The first with a 270 at 06:55 and the other with a 25-06 at 07:28. -

Agree....this is way too organized! I'm not sure I could tell you where both of my cameras and all the various pieces are right now. I do at least know where the memory cards are this time! BTW...shouldn't those cameras be out somewhere working for you and not sitting in that box?? Just sayin... Yup! next week some go in, and I get to weld all day making four more security boxes.

African Hugh? Oops! HUGE you know, Elephant, Rhino, Cape, Hippo. ^he's not big enough!

One setup is the best way to go, unless you are chasing African HUGH game. You wont be waisting time changing your setup, just practicing.

My PSE Brute X is pushing a 416 grain Swhacker tipped arrow at around 300 fps. My heads are the 1.75 inch 100 grain Swhacker, best mech. head out there!

Don't forget to get a Shock Absorbing Lanyard, a 6' one works well enough. That is what I use now. Got mine from a friend that works as a safety officer for a construction company.

You can start at 100 yards, look for a group in the 1 inch range about 1.5 to 2 inches high. Then move back to 250, your rounds should be very close to dead center there. All of our rifles that have non-ballistic scopes (that can't be dialed in) are dead on at 250.

I made that fateful plunge several years ago Elk hunting outside of Flag. I landed on my left side and severely bruised my kidney, now when I "have to go," I HAVE to go! DON'T be like me and so many others wear the best harness you can buy.

Words can not describe what sadness is felt right now. I too have lost a child and know what the wilds hold and share with you when you just sit quiet and listen. Congrats on your and Gunners amazing Coues.

If you look on the bottom of the barrel lug you might see a stamped S on it, if it does you have a "sniper" series barrel.
-
If you go the reloading route, use all the same brass, primers and try several powders. A new addition reloading book is a must. Start with the base loads they recomend and go from there.

You will spend some money in the beginning but you will recover monetarily with the animals on the ground.
