I have a great spot in unit 5- 35A. If you go down the road past the third cattle guard and just before the large Mesquite tree, take that left and go 2.5 miles. Park on the left and climb up the hill to the right, sit, glass and you might see the big animal at the bottom of the hill standing next to your truck. lol

Late last night I fletched a dozen arrows with AAE Max Hunters and today every dang one of them pulled right off, WTF!!!!!!!!!!!! The only thing I can think of of is the glue I used this time was the cheap Bohning glue (that mistake will NEVER happen again) back to AAE's Fastset gel! Bohning SUCKS!!!!!!!! I just waisted $12 and a lot of time! What glue do you use?

The Swhacker head was designed specifically for Elk, the first year it was out, there were 20 hunters chasing elk and 16 elk took the dirt Knapp. 15 of those went less than 100 yards. Here is my bull taken on the second day. He was shot at 30 yards and went less than 60. He lived less than 30 seconds after he was hit. Sorry for pic quality, it is from film camera. Taken in 1994

Ok guys: Last week Rhett and I went out to look over a new area and found several well used trails through the Mesquites and decided to place some salt down. After GPSing the location I looked at Rhett and said, "back to the truck" and off he went. The only problem is he went in a different direction than I wanted. About 75 yards from the salt I caught up with him sitting in a pool of water. That's right he found the only water in the area. He looked at me like, "did I do good daddy?" Well you tell me!!! Today I went back and placed two more cams out in the new spot "Rhett's spot" Can you find the cam? On the way out I found this. How big is the buck that snapped of his main beam?

You need to find a 100% aloe gel or cream and apply it to his pads and put a small sock on his feet. Tape the socks to them to keep them on as long as possible for a few days, should be fine.

AGFD news What would you think of a new online club for hunters?
Elkhunter1 replied to AGFD News's topic in News from Arizona Game and Fish Dept.
You need to FIX what's broke before you jump into any other endeavors. Like the draw "Online" or offline situation, publishing the results in more timely fashion. If you can't do it for all of us what makes you think you can single out a group of us. -
My very good friend Carlos Flores, President of the Vail Vikings had their fund raiser golf Tournament today. At the end of the day they also had the raffle. I received the phone call of the year when I was told I had won the Grand Prize. A new PSE Deer Thugs RTS bow. Thanks Carlos and the Vail Vikings!!!
