That is what they ask for when you fill out the online info or call and give it to them. They obviously have a reason for it or they wouldn't waste my time or theirs getting the extra info. My guess would be the more info the more precise the turret. I don't really care I will give them all the info they need to get a turret that works as well as their's do.

I always call in to order the turrets. They ask even more questions than the form and if you have any questions they can answer them. They are great to work with.

I have 4 of them set up. If you give Kenton Ind. the correct info you will have one heck of a long range shooting machine. Mine are all on the Leupold Mark 4 LR/T 4.5X14X40 with the 7/8" target knobs. Almost exactly the same as the VX3 has the same knobs. I use the Long Range Hunter Turret from Kenton. It goes all the way to a 1000 yards and I have shot all of them out to a 1000 and it is unbelievable how well it works. I have killed an elk at 638 yards and a Mule Deer at 445 yards both one shot kills. I used the claw on both shots and just dialed in the range and dropped both animals in their tracks. THis system is a simple system to set up and is as accurate as any other on the market. All you need is your exact info: Caliber Bullet B.C. Type of Bullet and Manufacture Bullet Grains Temp. Avg. Barometric Pressure Avg. Altitude Velocity in FPS of the Load you are shooting Barrel Length Scope and Dimensions Distance between center of Bore to center of scope What yardage you want your zero to be ( I have mine at 200 ) Here is the URL http://www.kentonindustries.com/orderForm/?item=elevation2 For the temp. and elevation you can't get it exactly so I just took an average elevation of 3,500 feet and Temp. I used 50 degrees and have not had any issues with this. If you are going to be shooting beyond 650 yards you may want to buy a knob for each elevation you will be hunting at. Under 650 an average will be just fine but remember to zero your rifle at each elevation. When you recieve your knob remove the factory knob and replace it with the Kenton knob. Zero your rifle at your desired zero yardage and line the zero on the knob up to the line on the scope. You are ready to go. Hope this helps. My $.02

I went out last weekend and I found some goodins. I did see one buck chasin a doe like crazy. It seems pretty early to me. I didn't see any groups of doe's with a buck. But I found a couple good ones in some good areas for stalking with my bow. Hangin out in some pretty thick cedars.

I had a stock Remington 700 270 WSM. I went and bought a new Belle and Carlson Medalist stock which has an aluminum pillar block in it. I had the stock put on and beaded. I also had the gunsmith work on the stock trigger and he turned it into a crisp 2.5 # trigger with out having to buy a new timney or jewell trigger. It took the gun from 1.5" groups at 100 yards to 3/4" groups at 100 yards. I then worked up the best load possible (if you don't reload just find the best factory ammo). I got all the data needed for a custom turret and sent off for a custom 1,000 yard turret for my leupold scope. Then practice your butt off.

Once again Clay Goldman from Mogllon Taxidermy did an outstanding job on my biggest mule deer yet. Hope you guys enjoy the pics. Killed him down here in the desert and he scores right at 170".

Man I know that view in the first pic real well. I know when I am looking at that view that some good times are to be had. -
How about the name "Deer Humper" I mean "Deer Thumper" either one would be a good name.
-
That thing is way cool. Now all you have to do is learn how to shoot it. Nice gun man!
-
Thanks guys. I was real happy with the way it turned out.
-
That is way cool man! Sounds like a trip of a life time. Talk about turning a crappy trip around! Poor guy, now you have to go live in the woods and scout for elk all summer. That sucks I feel for you! The things we will do for a couple bucks !

What do you do for work and what kind of processing plant?
-
Why don't you get in a picture with one of those biggins on the ground. Those are some great pics.

I would go out and get a cheaper model Remington 700. Top it off with any scope that has target turrets and a good range of magnification like a 4.5X14X50 or 6.5X20X50 in leupold, nikon, Burris, etc. I would recomend any scope that Kenton Industires make custon turrets for. Here is there website http://www.kentonindustries.com/. Take the gun out and shoot it. If it will shoot real well out of the box just keep the stock barrel if not put a new Dougles or Shilen type barrel on it, although you may want to put the new stock on it and bed it to see if this makes your stock barrel shoot to your satisfaction. Do what I did and just have a good gunsmith work on the trigger and they can usually make the stock trigger into a crisp 2.5# trigger for a lot less than buying a new one. Lastly get a new Bell and Carlson medalist stock and have it put on and bedded. This will make your rifle an even better shooter. Work up the best load you can that is the most accurate and use the grain bullet that will perform well on all the game you want to shoot. Get all of the info that Kenton industires requires for thier custom turrets and send it in for a custom turret made for your gun to shoot out to a thousand yards and you will have a great long range shooter. Rifle- $500 Stock and bedding - $350 Trigger work - $50 Scope - $400 Turret - $90 (Optional) Custom Barrel Installed - $400 So with a new barrel your looking at about $1,800 and with out your total setup would be $1,400. So you will spend $500 - $900 on customizing your rifle If you do it this way. This is how I have done both of my guns and they both are 1,000 yard tack drivers. This is just my opinion, I am no expert by any means but I wanted to do exactly what you are wanting to do and this is how I did it. Hope it helps.

Thie article is written by the guy that made the 338 Edge. It has every piece of info you would ever need from recipes to all the best components for the rifle. Check it out for sure. http://www.longrangehunting.com/articles/338-edge-1.php -
Just go get a slik or Bogan carbon fiber in the wieght and height you like and you can't go wrong.

I got this spotting scope in a package deal last night at the heritage banquet. If I didn't have a swaro already I would keep it in a second. Just came off the shelf from the Outdoorsmans and has ther price tag on it of $1,599. I will take $1,075 delivered to your door. I just need to get this much to make my money back from the auction. No way you will ever find a brand new scope like this for this cheap. First person to inquire gets it. Here is the URL from optics planet. http://www.opticsplanet.net/vortex-razor-h...ting-scope.html. You have to be a member to get it. So if your not a member join and you can buy it.

Man that is a beautiful baby buddy. Congrats again, you've got yourself a big ole tribe going there now.

Just ask them if you are on there list of tags sold for the unit that you applied for. They have a list of everyone that has a tag for each unit and they will give you a duplicate tag if you have lost yours. I have had to get a duplicate deer tag before as well as duplicate turkey tags. I know other people who have gotten them too. You have to be careful who you talk to there because you can get different answers from different people. Call up there and ask for Angel. She is very helpful and will look your name up and get you your tag if you have one.

Prayers sent for sure. Remember how great your grandfather was to you and pass that on to your kids and grandkids so they too will have a great father figure to remember. God bless you and your familt

That guy should be deported and never aloud anywhere in our country again even if he is legal. If you don't like our laws then get the heck out of our country and go back where you came from. I can't stand these people, they are owed nothing they should just appreciate being able to have the opportunity to live and raise there families in this great country. With people like this living in our country it may not be that great for long. We need to stand strong and let these people know we will not be run over anymore and they need to get use to it or suffer the consequences. -
Brandon, Christian and I got unit B tags this year. I have never hunted it before so we are going to give it a try. You guys get the same unit as last year or are you gonna try somethig new as well? We are going to do quite a few scouting trips to try and figure it out before it opens. We will be there on New Years Eve for the opener. If you guys are gonna be up there camping let us know and we will stop by and shoot the bull. As far as the lion tags go I am sure they will give us one, some times they wait until it gets closer to time and they will let us know so we can stop by and pick them up before the hunt. They did that 2 years ago. Take care.
