Clean gun very very well. I would get some butches bore shine and run three or four patches through it every half hour until the blue is gone. It may even take a few days but trust me it will help. If it is a used gun it could be so fouled it will ruin any accuracy. If you clean the barrel perfect you can get a true reading on what the gun is capable of. The first 2 or three bullets out of the cleaned gun maybe of but from then on should be good.

Make sure that you stick with the same brand when you find the load you like. I have switched brands because of unavailability and had the performance of the bullet change. I personally use federal 215's for mags and 210's for large rifle. I have reloaded thousaands of rounds and only had one mis fire. It was because of a missing anvil. Check each primer before you load them.

I just got my new Mcmillan stock in the mail for my 270 WSM. I need to find a good gunsmith in Phoenix to bed it and do some fine tuning. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Does anyone know anybody in AZ who does Teflon coating? I was thinking about getting my action done and was wondering if anyone could help me out?

Although it can be dangerous last year hunting in 36 C about 6 miles from the border, we were glassing and found an illegal and I'll be damned if he did not jump a real nice 85" buck and send it our way. My friend drilled him and we were done opening morning. Thanks again Juan Paco

Securing Our Borders

My neighbors are border patrol. They leave for weeks at a time to work out of tents in the hot spots. They have found a ton of these and have found all of there equipment as well. Including: Satellite phones, assault rifles, swarovski spotting scopes and binos, expensive radios, night vision and anything else expensive used for survelance. They also found very extensive logs of all of the BP's activities from day to day. These particular spots they have found were being used for drugs. They have found some lesser sites that are used for smuggling people. Pretty scary. I guess the animals are't the only ones watching us while we are down there. -
I shot a ton of different bows and ended up buying the Drenalin. For me the bow is very fast, smooth, light and shoots better groups than I could have imagined. Everybody fits each bow differently, but this was the one for me. I would definetly shoot it along with others to make your decision.

In the 7MM Dakota he is actually using a 404 Jefferies case. The powder would be about the same as a 300 weatherby. That is a lot of bang even with a muzzle break on a pistol. I would really like to see a video of you shooting yours. That would be cool.

I got the model 70 hunter stalk it is the monte carlo style with raised cheek piece. I have a model 70 winchester. I bought one before they quit making them. I put Talley rings and bases on it with a leupold VXIII B&C 3.5X10 scope. I also put a timney trigger in it. The factory stalk is a piece of junk, reason for the Mcmillan stalk. Thanks for all the info.

2008 ford F-250, best truck I have ever owned. Has a lot more power than the 6.0 and as quiet as a Chevy. I even have a CW.com sticker on it.

I am selling a 2005 27' Flagstaff TT. It has a big kitchen/couch slide out, front bedroom and stereo surround sound. I have used it about 10 times. It also comes with a 4,000 watt Onan generator. Selling for $17,000. Trading up to a toy hauler. Any questions pm me and I can send pics or call.

Nice scouting trip man. I have no doubt you will have him pinned down by your hunt.

I am in the market for a new bow. My PSE Primos has done well for me but I am interested in a new one. I am thinking between PSE mach 10 or Firestorm X, Matthews Drenaline or the new Bowtech center pivot bow. I was wondering where in Phoenix I could go to shoot these bows or if anyone had any advise.

My 2006 desert deer. I worked real hard for this buck and I love the picture. -
While I was helping a friend on the first Dec hunt last year I was seriously affraid of getting shot. We were set up 350 yards from a bull waiting for light and Some guy above us 1000 yards away empties his gun twice. Straight over our heads. I found a really nice shed in the bottom after that and left it where it lay for fear of being mistaken. We moved out of the country and ended up killing a nice 6X6 but opening morning was flat out dangerous. I can't imagine it with more hunters.
