Help me score some bulls! Added another picture
Mathews replied to AZHUNTER05's topic in Elk Hunting
Both are really good bulls but the 6 point is definitely bigger. Picture isnt real clear but he could go anywhere from 330-340 or bigger if the left side matches the right.. The top bull wont score as well without anything for 5ths but still an awesome bull Edit: Im coming up with right around 300 on the bottom bull but he should be a little bigger by now -
Lets triple the tags and see how long 9 and 10 are trophy units lol trophy hunters vs meat hunters blah blah blah etc etc who cares nothing we can do about it.. On that note, this bull is alive and well assuming he survived the winter.. Definitely the bull Id be looking for.. If I didnt have a unit 10 tag Im 6'3'' for reference
-
Lol I'll rephrase... 6a would be one of the top units in the state if there wasn't so many tags.. No reason it shouldn't be
-
6a could be one of the top units in the state if g&f wasnt so greedy
-
Guess it could be, tail just looks different to me

HAHAHAHA we're both wrong.. the bull in the first pic is the same one thats in the last pic.. Look at the third, the date, and if you zoom in on the last pic you can see the kicker off the sword on the left side Definitely bigger than you think though -

3rd and 5th picture the same bull or just coincidental kickers between the sword and 5th? I dont think youre giving the top bull enough credit lol but I could be wrong -

Hard to tell, but the first bull is definitely the biggest.. If that long tine on his right is in fact his sword and the point(s?) have any sort of length the bull could go 350 or better. I still cant tell if the long tine is his 3rd or fourth though lol Oh and the second bull (Im assuming the last 3 are the same bull) could be 320-330ish Edit: The fourth picture doesnt look like the same bull as pic 3 and 5 -
Lots of good stuff but these are both myths.. You do not need to get your protein in 1/2 hour after your workout and you will not go into starvation mode by not eating breakfast

Man that second buck... Someday.. -
Different strokes for different folks.. I can tell you I wouldnt have stayed around to watch

Not sure why this made me laugh lol

Didnt notice that extra on his right side at first but that could put him over 360.. Give him a year and some good rain and that could be a VERY big bull
-
Deer, Bear and ? what is the cat picture, notice the tail and spots

Forget the liopard.. That buck is gonna be a shooter! -
We've come to the conclusion that some of the bigger bulls will even have more than one point their first year
-
Wow, the year I was born... My Father was 3 years old that year..

Depends on what youre trying to do but its a whole lot simpler than people make it out to be. If you're trying to drop some pounds and get in shape before your hunt you need to be consuming less calories than you burn each day.. That could mean running miles a day because you REALLY like to eat or hiking with some weight on your back because you dont have a problem eating a little less. The easiest way to do it is count the amount of calories you eat a day, theres plenty of websites/phone apps that make it VERY easy to track. So you really wouldnt need to change your diet at all, it would just mean burning more calories at the gym/track etc. and you dont need to be eating something like a salad every meal to lose weight like most people think. I can go more in depth if you'd like but what it all boils down to is Calories IN vs. Calories OUT

This this this I enjoy hunting like this, but it all depends The size of the animal I am willing to harvest each year depends on the unit, the time of year, the weather, the amount of time I have to scout, the amount of time I have to hunt, who I am hunting with (I will shoot a 70'' buck if it means my 7 y/o brother gets to share the experience with me before I shoot a 100'' buck by myself) But Im glad there are people like Becker out there so Ive got pictures to look at and dream about
