How to keep eyepiece covers on Swarv 15x56s?
elkhunter replied to Billinsd's topic in Optics and tripods
I used the neck strap and then duct taped the strap a little bit so they don't roll all the way down, my dad uses these string leathers long enough for the covers to drop down below his chin when he takes em off. The idea of not using a rainguard on swaros makes me CRINGE! -
Thanks for the information.

Anyone have experiece with these binoculars, Fujinon HB 15x60 Binocular? I can't find a local dealership that carries these around here so looking for someone who has used them, how do you compare them to Zeiss Conquest 15x45? According to the information and twilight factor and etc, the fujinon seems a tad better than zeiss, these will be a birthday gift to a family member, fill me in.

boycott the harvest survey post card!!!!
elkhunter replied to bowsniper's topic in Political Discussions related to hunting
The point is that the game and fish department really needs the information, they run pretty much seperate from the comission, your hunt cards may not be relevant to the commission but it is extremely important to the wardens in knowing how the hunt went, the commission can choose to listen or ignore them but do it because the people who documents the hunt cards do care and they need to know whats going on with the unit/hunts. Recently a new commission has been formed and it seems like they're money lovers and don't give a care bout hunt quality, many people are upset with the commission but don't let the commission ruin your help/effort towards the wardens who truly do their best do maintain good hunting -
boycott the harvest survey post card!!!!
elkhunter replied to bowsniper's topic in Political Discussions related to hunting
You guys need to understand that the game and fish employees do care it's just that the commission makes the final decisions, i don't know why the commission doesn't follow suggestions from game and fish officers but those harvest papers really help them out with maintaining hunt numbers and success -

Exact same truck I drove and hunted with in highschool, nice rig -
I hunted 35a a couple of times, the game and fish unit information is right on the dot, killed a couple bucks where they recommended to hunt

I used a microfiber cloth but only for bout 2 months, it started to get grit in it so I gave it to a friend of mine, I got a gift certificate so I'm gonna purchase the swarovski cleaning kit, includes microfiber cloths, brush, dust blower and cleaning fluid. I pretty much always clean my binos after a day in the feild, that really helps keep the lenses clean. Avoid those cleaning pens! They get grit onto em real fast! Get a microfiber cloth and keep it in a baggie so it's always clean and grit-free and that's what I'm doing now Good luck with your new binos dude!

Doug-it was nice meeting you the other day, you got quite a collection in your home. As for binoculars...*sigh* my opinion remains the same, the swaros gave me total comfort and leica was somewhere else both binos will produce coues bucks, just depends on the person's prefrence on looks, durability, comfort, weight and $$

Amen! Little bear!!

swarovskis demo include a 2 year warranty, not a lifetime warranty. Not sure what the deal is with Leica when they're sold as demos. I prefer swarovski, those lieca eye cups are bound to get grit in em real fast, I looked at the same leica binos as you did Casey and the eye cups was my biggest comparison between the two, I leaned towards the comfort of swaros.
