Wow does ur wife have the early rifle bull hunt? Congrats! Craig, awesome footage that bull looks like he's got a lot of potential! I don't see any evidence of him being in his old age and yet to look like he's in his prime, he will be an easy bull to spot if someone harvests him or better yet for you to track him for a few more years til you draw that tag again!

Glad to see my tag going to a great person, congrats guys!

That ape can't be from Arizona, looks like you had a little conflict with photobucket
-
If 4 people applied for the same tag on the same application and there was 1 error, everyone on the application would be rejected, that's why they took your tag too

You can only apply for jr hunts up til the year you turn 17, it doesn't mean if you are 17 during the hunt then you can apply. Sorry to hear that, it would have gone the same way for us adults. Did you apply for the cow tags? Did you have proof of the application you submitted? If there's no proof or if you did apply for the cow hunt, that's just part of the game, sorry nothing has gone your way this year

Randyepperson or Andy knowlton, both for rimrock outfitters, worst case scenario.........you will go back for a second lion!

Whetstone area has several area for sale but not at 5k feet, more like 4300 or so, forest service is just a few yards away in the whetstones or the mustangs

Wished I could help you, if you hunt public land the best thing to do is get up earlier than the other hunters in the area and hunt as far back as you can in public land then glass towards the hunters, a lot of them will push deer towards you, remember every year more lead is spent on misses than hits in coues hunting!

Yeah same thing, we all know what it is but no one can spell it not even me

Whew! And for safety measures we pull out our winch cable for extra tie down support on dirt roads! Glad it all went well for you and for the tailgating ranger part, that's hilarious, stuff like that makes for a good classroom teacher

Looking for a new tripod? These are great!!
elkhunter replied to CouesWhitetail's topic in Other Hunting Gear
Casey the velbron you have, does it have those second legs that attach from center colum and attaches to the back of the main legs? It allows you to move the legs at any angle you desire unlike the new ones now they only offer 3 different angles. I had that tripod and two of those inside legs broke on me, best tripod I have ever had, I hat those new fixed angle legs now -
Yes! They are awesome, you just can't do birds, the hollow bones causes sharp fragments to tear their intestine, deer and elk are awesome, they love those hooves and even javelina

People usually don't hunt the southern units for archery in aug, too hot and water is everywhere As for spotters, I found 3 placesontopof cerro colorados where illegals made a small adobe out of rocks and the view from there was awesome, you could see all the roads Not a bad idea to spit a bullet towards those adobe during the season!

No deformity going on, antlers are broken off, if u look closely it's clear that they broke off -

Got to be hit by a car, don't know how a mt lion could deform the face and break the antlers but if u look at the deer front right leg, a nice red open wound there -
Gotcha- just curious what's it for. Should be great for elk- everyone up in Alaska used a .338 for inland grizz and moose with great results

Brown Pelicans at Patagonia Lake/Amanda is Everywhere
elkhunter replied to a topic in Non-hunting trip reports
Found a dead brown pelican at Parker canyon lake in 03, that was the year of a big drought and pelicans were landing on concrete with mirage, read an article there were hundreds dead, pretty cool ,I found this one near Parker creek on the sidewalk, u can see that it landed on the sidewalk and smashed his body -
You planning on using a 338 on coues? Always thought bout trying it out

Gained about 15 lbs when the baby came 1 yr ago, lost 6 lbs in 2 weeks by switching beer for wine, good advice for those who like to have a little sip each night
