bought my son a weatherby vanguard 7mm-08 and he loves shooting it, just bought my daughter a tika t3x compact 7mm-08 and she loves shooting it also. both of them have youth cow tags this year.

Where you guys camped with the wall tent by a trail head? and was this bull shot friday in the snow storm?

the doe's are thick in that unit just shoot the first one you see. all the water tanks up there are frozen. I would do a spot and stalk no need to sit a tree stand or ground blind in that unit,

right on the border of 6b and 8 i was in there sunday and monday and heard over 20 shots in 2 days coming from 8, i was on a road that splits the two units. all the elk i found looked like mtn goats where they were.

was over by 8 and it sounded like a war zone over there, i glassed alot of elk in the canyons.

looks alot like 6b this year tons of people stuck and roads where bad.
