That's sweet Scotty. Yeah I am training my dogs a couple times a week in the event that I don'tget a elk tag in September. I love bowhunting but as I get a bit older the dogs and birdhunting is getting more and more into my blood. I have a couple english pointers and two shorthairs that keep me busy. Hello sportsman and women. Just asking the question, what do you all think about having a topic here dedicated to bird Hunters and or training bird dogs?? Seasons over and I am already climbing the walls. I just can't get enough of bird hunting and dog work. Seems a bunch of us coues enthusiast are also bird hunters and train a few dogs. Hey Jim, sorry to hear about that fine dog of yours. I am sure you will sell that shotgun soon. That pup we got from you "river" has had lots of experiences thus far. We have had him on lots of wild birds including NM mearns. He appears to have all the right stuff. We are very excited about him. Will keep you posted. gonhntn

Only a suggestion boys. Seems we already have a sight dedicated to mostly bird hunting enthusiast "small game hunting" I too enjoy fine guns, blood and bone, but as I have gotten older I have begun to also enjoy a fine shotgun, pointing dogs and a good single malt scotch.
