Up until a few years ago I walked way to far and hunted way too little, I walked as far as 15 miles in one day, now I might walk around 3 to 4 miles, I was in a lot better shape when I did all that walking. I think the younger or less experienced hunters probably waste a lot of time and energy when knowledge and good glass can do just as good with less physical effort. This is all thrown out the door on a backpack hunt.

I was reading the mountain lion rules in the regulations and noticed that they want a large harvest in 6A south in preparation for a bighorn sheep transplant. What might the sheep do to the coues in there, getting rid of the lions will be good, but will they compete for the same food.

I have quail, dove, and a few other birds destroying my garden. It is mainly the quail, what are some options on how to deal with these birds without getting into trouble. This is the first garden I have planted out here and I don't want to get into trouble.

She feels her son was wronged and wants to blame everybody, the sad thing I get out of that is she has pulled guns and threatened to shoot innocent people for wanting to see the outdoors, and the person she blames appparently is walking around free as can be. If it was my kid the molestor would already be dead, she has nothing to lose if she is right, what jury would convict someone for protecting or defending their kid from a molestor. Second if her kid was a molestor due to this she does have other issues that need to be dealt with, and yes he does need to be in jail, a molestor is a menace to society at the most basic level and should never be trusted no matter what the original cause.

They were getting my tomatoes and peppers bad, I have done the tin foil thing and a scarecrow now too, so I will see, the funny thing is the rabbits have left it alone, they are eating my bermuda grass. If the rabbits start eating in the garden I think I can fix that problem.

younghunter, yes to all of the above, and carry your lucky rabbits foot, and a four leaf clover, maybe two of the four leaf clovers, and then you need to get real lucky. I seen my first one last year and I was carrying my muzzleloader, he was over a ridge before me or my brother could get a shot. I have lived in az for 35 years and that is the first lion I have seen, I seen a jaguar a few years ago, so without dogs you have to be extremely lucky. I think treestandman should strap himself up above a couple of his cameras and he could probably take a few, though he would be in that tree for quite a while.

Hopefully the state they get them from has a lion problem too, a new environment and a lot of predators that are established and know the area don't add up to a successful transplant, maybe they should have used some of that money they had saved up to pay for quite a few lion hunts in that area first.

I know that area pretty well, there are dairies close by, but no Krispy Kreme, so there probably wasn't a cop within miles, at least one that could drive. I hope they had insurance, it would suck to have that taken out of your check every week, when they graduate from training they have to drive around on a beat up bike until they can pay to get it fixed.

I think whatever I am carrying on a hunt is my favorite, including my bow or muzzleloader, its better than a pen or a tool and being at work. My dad swore by the 30-30 and though that caliber may have killed more animals over the years than any other gun I was never fond of it, but I wouldn't tell him that. couesdiehard you cracked me up with the little brother reference, they are just as loud, but they don't quite pack the punch of their big brother.

You would figure that it would come down to lawyers. Most of what I said about tractors and dynamite is in jest (not that I wish it couldn't happen)but it would do nothing for access, why doesnt another rancher allow access if a road is built, maybe another would sell a strip. I still think she is holding the public hostage and needs to be prosecuted for that, and the child molestor should get what he deserves. I can say that if it was one of my kids that her son molested he wouldn't be in jail, and that kayak and gate would be the least of her worries. Does anybody know if there is property adjacent to her that is owned by someone else, I wonder if they sympathize with her and her son or would they allow a road. I have never been there either is her property along a creek, what if a dam was built on accident and flooded her out, maybe they would give her back that kayak to get out. child molestors are maybe lower than terrorist because they have to be the lowest scum on earth, to kill or molest innocents is inexscusible and life in prison is way to good for them, look at what has went on in florida, they should just be dead, how many kids would be alive today if it was an automatic death sentence and done quickly.

I also haven't read anywhere that she says her son didn't do it, she is blaming somebody for him doing it. So in every sense of the word she is threatening the public for an admitted child molestor. I could have never been a police officer just for the fact that I would never have arrested a child molestor, they would have all (tried) to escape.

I think tnt and primer cord are very unstable and could go off on her property if it were on one of those out of control tractors.
