I called azgfd, I asked for the deer proposal survey, they transferred me to the game branch, I asked the lady on the phone the same question, she tells me to hold and she will check into it, she gets back on the phone and tells me it is an ADA survey and gives me the website info, I then ask her why it isn't on the azgfd site, she says she doesn't know, but that is a very good idea and she is going to reccomend a link, she was very helpful, but I have a feeling it won't go any further, but we can hope.

I think they are forgetting that the people that put in for the dec. hunts usually have a high goal, they want a big deer, and it is all or nothing for them, if that same guy has a nov. or oct. tag I would bet that his standards might go down, especially if he knows that the archery season is shortened too. DesertBull, is that july hunt any deer, or any antlered deer, because even if it was any deer I think game and fish would lose money, because they would have to buy a fleet of ambulances to ferry the heat stroke victims to the hospitals, but then again they would charge for it. I think you are a resident after 6 months until then it will be a little pricey, archery deer tags, fall bear, archery turkey, mountain lion, and small game are all over the counter.

I am trying to remember exactly, but don't they link together a youth ham hunt with reducing the archery season, there is no option three on that question it is either yes or no. I do not want the archery season shortened, and the way they linked the one question isn't right.

The only problem I have with the fall hunt for javelina is the overlap, no I don't want to compete with other hunters, especially if I have a four day rifle hunt for coues.

I also checked "reduce predators" and "increase access to public lands", I think improving the habitat is a little misleading, aside from water, and clean ups, there isn't much else that we can do without mother nature.

I am pretty ticked off about this, it is very apparent that she was put in there for reasons other than her background in hunting and fishing and I would really like to know what that is. The other thing that sucks about this is that we know that these senators were ( taken care of ) by the NRA for this, how else could they put tremendous pressure on these senators, the NRA is a national group with a mind set on gun owners rights, I am sure she gave them assurances that she wouldn't do anything against them on gun laws, but that sure opens the door on what she can do to hunting and fishing. I guess the NRA knows all about sleeping with the enemy, but does the governor and Ms. Martin, because now they are in control. I think I am going to try to get nominated for a seat on the commission, I am a mechanic so I think I meet all the qualifications.

I sent mine also. You almost wonder if any of these senators ever check sites like this to get feedback, I am sure if they don't have time one of their interns could.

Hopefully this will get the majority opinion out there, you would think that the azgfd would have done this prior to making the proposals. Getting input from hunting groups and hunters before trying to change things would have been the smart thing to do.
